This is an interesting hearing. In particular, I found that at the 1:00:45 mark, Mr. Miller was wickedly lynched by Mr. Lynch from Boston. Very entertaining. The Entertainer-in-Chief keeps delivering over four months after the fact.

Chris Miller and Jeff Rosen, the unconfirmed acting SecDef and AG comported themselves mostly professionally it seems to me in spite of being clearly caught in a nasty crossfire of highly partisan political theatre. Rs seemed to be all about the whatabout, like Jim Jordan spending his entire time asking whatabout the Ds contesting the electoral votes in 2016 and several other Rs focusing on BLM protests and the support they've received from Ms. Waters and Ms. Harris, etc. Ds seemed determined to elicit corroboration from Miller and Rosen that Trump had clearly colluded with and even actively encouraged the insurrection - which of course he did, but these are now matters for the DOJ rather than political theatre with these acting Trump appointees.

If Trump is not held to account, this was just practice according to an op-ed that I agree with but cannot seem to find a link to at this time. Has anyone else seen the video clip I'm thinking of? The southern dude that has northern political positions? Talks about his take on politics against a backdrop of shelves made of 2x4s and plywood?

Miller's explanation of the timeline seemed pretty reasonable. ~90 minutes is pretty much spectacularly efficient for the military to come up with an op plan: especially when no one had the foresight to consider the need for enhanced security even 24 hours prior.

Trump fomented this attempted coup for two months prior to Jan 6th. Lock him up already. On balance, we still have our government in part because even Trump lackeys Miller and Rosen refused to break the law and their oaths of office, mostly...?

It won't go anywhere. Trump won't spend a single minute in a courtroom. You'll live.....

Not for 1/6, but I'll take that bet otherwise...

On topic, waste of time... I want a commission or DOJ action... nothing less will do....

Didn't this government just run a second impeachment? The international community laughs at us, we don't even have a representative government anymore. Inflation is rising, etc.

Is no one in that building interested in governing over the nation? Is there no one with a speck of political talent in Capitol Hill?

We haven’t had a representative government since gerrymandering became a sport and since the Reapportionment Act of 1929 was signed into law. If it was proportional Republicans would have much more difficulty pushing the limits of the system.

We ejected the reason we were being laughed at by our allies.

There are plenty of politicians on both side of the isle (and down the middle) that have tons of political talent but Americans prefer clownshows apparently.

Even if maps were drawn perfectly, that doesn't guarantee x amount of votes to one candidate or the other. Gerrymandering like everything else is an excuse. Our government is failing us, and it is failing us POST Trump. It's time to truly examine the reasons why American government is failing, and I assure you they're still laughing. Maybe not publicly anymore, but they're snickering behind closed doors.

Because why tell your biggest competitor(which America is) that they're screwing up?

At the end of Biden's first term, after another 300 mass shootings, millions more crossing the border illegally, rampant inflation, and who knows what else, they will still be blaming it on Trump...

The way our elections are set up — particularly the primary process — causes the most extreme candidates to be elected while only having to listen to the most vocal and partisan portions of the voter base.

We need to end FPTP and have open primaries, dare I say compulsory voting with all UC citizens being automatically registered at birth (active at voting age) or date of nationalization and automatically canceled upon death.

No court of law would ever hear the matter because fabricated fake news conspiracy theories don't count as evidence. Far-leftists can bite down on this as hard as they want, spewing crumbs of it's absurdity with every breath, but the fact of the matter is someone who explicitly said "march peacefully" and "obey law enforcement" cannot be charged or convicted of inciting anything.

Now everyone pay close attention. Because as the cost of nearly every product you buy increases due to the Biden Administrations attacks on the energy sector (a sector they cant even protect from outside threats), as the market signals its shrinking from the onset of inflation, as the buying power of your dollars is far less today than it was 6 months ago, as your borders are inundated with millions of illegals and the disease and criminal enterprise they bring, as the powers at be prepare to scale back much needed COVID restrictions when we are nowhere near to being out of the woods, as Russia and China contentiously probe our defense and responses to attack in preparation for God knows what, as a hundred other critical important matters degrade before our very eyes, matters that actually impact our lives as opposed to the fabricated 'insurrection' myth that has literally, LITERALLY, zero impact on us... this is what your government is doing instead of addressing the things that will make you poor, make you sick, and make you unsafe.
