I just did, but here it is again. Thus, Ejusdem generis means that the phrase "or other highcrimes or Misdemeanors" should be limited to offenses of the same genusas "Bribery, Treason ...." Clearly, these are the offenses of a person-I1-who entrusted with governmental office, violates this trust. These arewhat we meant by "political offenses." "They are Constitutional wrongsthat subvert the structure of government or undermine the integrity ofoffice and even the Constitution itself.
Sure, I'll Tweet it to him. I'll give him all the rope he needs to embarrass himself further and drag this out.
Yeah the law isn't known for precidence or anything, counselor. You're making me laugh my ass off. I appreciate that.
Then quote the precedent. A Law article which cites to a latin saying for how a legal phrase in the US Constitution should be interpreted is not precedent.
Oh look! So you KNOW that Congress doesn't decide what "high crimes and misdemeanors are"! My tutelage is paying off already! Here you go, court precedence on ejusdem generis http://www.legalblog.in/2011/10/doctrine-of-ejusdem-generis-supreme.html
I called it a legal concept, so I don't get how you reached the conclusion that I only think it was used once in 1975. Now, quote the precedent that defines "high crimes and misdemeanors." A Law article which cites to a legal concept for how a legal phrase in the US Constitution should be interpreted is not precedent.
The website that you used is legalblog.in As a bit of tutlage provided free of charge, the ".in" is a reference to INDIA. The Country of INDIA.
I already did. Ejusdem generis tells you exactly what "Bribery, Treason, High Crimes and Misdemeanors" means. Thanks. Now you understand the concept is not centralized to US law, but is worldwide. Thanks for pointing that out to us hahahaha I love it when a plan goes down the way I hope.
Hey everyone, vman12 totally and intentionally quoted a law blog from India as precedent for the definition of High Crimes and Misdemeanors. *wink*
Says the guy who thinks Congress can impeach for jaywalking or anything else they'd like. Go ahead and tell us how the universal application and understanding of Ejusdem generis, as applied by the US and countries other than the US, includes your jaywalking charge. You're welcome to get as much mileage out of the examples from the Indian supreme court as you'd like to reinforce my point though.
