Anyone who thinks large cities would be anything other than instantaneous death/looting traps and total liabilities in the event of sustained civil unrest equivalent to a Civil War or even far less has a "special" kind of optimism.

Anyone who thinks street criminals and gangs are going to instantly ally with citizens and law enforcement instead of victimizing them and creating total chaos wasn't alive or was under a rock during the LA/Detroit Riots or has consumed too much Hollywood product where the "good guys" and "bad guys" band together in times of crisis instead of what they actually would do IRL.

Anyone who ignores the fact that this country is overwhelmingly "red" geographically, blue only in those few deathtrap cities, and foresees some favorable outcome for the blue side in a major conflict needs to give me some of what they are smoking. White (and other males likely to be military and police) males in this country vote overwhelmingly against Democrats overwhelmingly comprise the military and police, and that skew is getting larger by the minute. The country's infrastructure, and not its lawns, fingernails or hair, is overwhelmingly engineered and kept operational by those same white men.

But maybe the female Ghost Busters, Grrrl Power superheroes or masked ANTIFA twits will come and save the day for you.

 

We dont want one no, but many see it as the only way to get out from under the right wing facist gas bags who want to leave half the population to live or die in poverty and starvation.

Or maybe the bloggers at Huffington Post or SJWs and celebrities will storm in in pink hats from across the country led by a fake drumming indian or Black Israelites to save the day. Maybe an army of trannies from the Meat Packing District will swoop in at the last minute like the eagles in Lord of the Rings. Maybe a host of lawyers from Midtown to Maiden Lane, armed with "assault briefcases" (10% of the lawyers in the country are on Manhattan, that's a HELLA strong militia there) will stem the tide. Or Howard Stern, Beetlejuice and Elephant Boy will lead a battalion of poets, druggies and singer songwriters from the Village to turn back the Bubba waves?

There are probably more lawfully owned firearms in my county of 100,000 than exist in total on the island of Manhattan. But hey, you got the Bat Signal, so it could be close. Wonder how long the sushi at Nobu will hold out?

It would help if the left didn't dedicate such a vast amount of energy into insulting and provoking people intentionally.
There can come a point in that where the limit of tolerance is reached- and only fools pursue that thinking there will never be consequences.
Civility on all sides, including the media, would go a long ways towards getting America back on track.
