The US oligarchs have increased there profits by 50% in the last two years from Trump's tax cut and foreign capital flight is flooding into the US market expecting a worldwide economic collapse--the Fed know what's coming. However, this time no "bailout" but a "bail-in" because legally your deposits belongs to the bank and be converted in worthless collapsed bank stock. Suck it up suckers.

Now US business investment, manufacturing, commercial building are all falling. Germany, Italy (50,000 in quarantine), France are already in depression with negative interest rates. The money on Wall Street is artificial money so the collapse will be fast. This week $3 trillion paper value was lost on Wall Street with about $7 Trillion loss overseas. In the last decade, however, all global stocks as of 2018 have increased by $50 Trillion increase since the 2008 collapse--banks made money on the last 2018 collapse by asset stripping what is left of the middle class. Now, millions of Americans are about to default on subprime auto loans, school loans, and other debt.

Actually, Smartmouthwoman is correct here. So are you, in that part of America is "Upside down", but wrong in the belief that Trump is the cause- indeed, he is the cure.

Since we started raising children on Ritalin instead of morals and respect, quit holding kids responsible for their own bad behavior by blaming it on "syndromes" and abandoning discipline and consequence, then sent them to colleges to be taught by liberal professors replacing education with propaganda- Yes, we have raised a few generations with a high percentage of "educated" morons. Such people DO have their perspective upside down; they call winning bad, losing proper, believe the nation they are part of - their own team- to be garbage, demand things from it and reject the idea they should support it at the same time. They have been educated with- garbage. Instead of learning from the wisdom of those who have already successfully traveled the road in front of them, they mock them. OF course they are losers. They believe in losing, yet insist their losing is unjust. They choose to see themselves as victims, they embrace and whine about how terrible it is, how it's Trumps fault, and remain convinced that the view they have from the pit under the outhouse that they put themselves in represents the world. To them, up is down, because their thinking is upside down. It's a matter of programmed perspective- Garbage in, input processed by garbage, garbage out. Logic isn't an operating factor in that process, it too is fully contaminated and dysfunctional- but defends it's validity in their thinking process, giving the illusion that it's functional. Like having a great computer, then letting Alfred E Neuman design the operating system.

Trump can't save them from themselves. Their only hope is to crash and burn; hit bottom so hard that it shatters all the garbage that contaminates their thinking today. A few may be able to find the courage to do this before such an implosion, and we hope they can. When the mind finally accepts that what it has been programmed with was false, and they may be ready to start anew- clean their own house. Kind of like wiping the hard drive, re-booting the system all the way.

Conservative America stands ready to welcome any who are ready to start fresh and deal with reality.

 

I feel lucky! Never thought another major event of volatility would come along for investors in my lifetime, especially one with so much unjustified fear being generated and fanned by the media. Stocks down? That's money coming on sale, and when the doors open I will be there buying all the bargains I can. I shifted my positions last week so I gain on the losses, will reverse that at the bottom to gain on the gains. Not everyone knows how to play the game well, be it poker or investing- or life. When people let their emotions and the media control their behavior, they usually don't do well.
This is a bump in the road, not a change of course.

Actually, the vilified broadcast media are underplaying the threat because social media are stoking fears.

Unless there's a positive change in the trajectory of COVID-19 into a pandemic, the news will grow darker and people will cut back on spending.
