Weapons are tools and only a part of survival plans. I am interested in hearing your choices and your reasoning. From primitive items, Knives, Bows, Black powder to modern fire arms and caliber. We have a good selection of knives including meat cleavers, skinning, bone saw and have limited ourselves to 5 type of firearms/calibers for survival purposes. A Good hunting rifle is a must and went with 3006 caliber and 7.62x54. Rifles only. Semi Auto and bolt. For medium range (150-250 yards) we went with 7.62x39. Semi Auto and bolt 22lr goes without saying in both pistol and rifle. Semi Auto and bolt. And lastly for us we went with 410 bore for shot gun. Both pistol and Shotgun.
