Spitting the dummy is something Aussies don't like. Sore losers not welcome and no matter how much they protest the results are there for all to see. Australians don't go much for "tall poppies" in the first place and Georgina's attempt to ride into federal politics riding on her father's coat tails was not looked at in a good light by a lot of voters. Crying over it and blaming the voters accusing them of sabotaging your chances won't go down well in the future as it seems she will challenge again. Mummy and daddy crying their babygirls lose was due to vicious comments on social media shows just how arrogant this family is. Nation builders, what a joke. I am writing this from a palitive care ward where I am waiting for my beloved father, 102 and a true nation builder to slowly drown in his own body fluids as our governments and self appointed moral police won't allow him to die with the dignity he deserves and desires. I feel insulted. I am very angry.
Please accept my unconditional compassion and sympathy for what is happening to your father and your family for what these self-righteous bureaucrats are forcing you to endure. It doesn’t make any sense why human beings are allowed to show compassion by euthanasing terminal ill animals, but self-righteous bureaucrats won’t allow the same compassion of euthanasia towards terminal ill human beings, and force pain and suffering on them. It’s a topic to discuss at a later date, and the rabbit hole goes much deeper than the average person suspects. The Downers. Their narcissistic opinions and views of themselves demonstrates what I have been saying for years - politicians simply don’t live in the same reality as everyone else. They only see themselves as “self-entitled” to everything, and until people wake-up and stop voting for them, then nothing will ever change.
So sorry to hear about your father LRL. Having watched my mother suffer the same pain and indignity in her last days I fully understand how sad and angry you are feeling right now. Hopefully your fathers pain will end soon. I haven’t been on here much as the topics have not really interested me greatly. I check in from time to time, but it seems the good old argy bargy days of strong political debate have disappeared from the forum. It is funny, but I am starting to see all politicians as elitists. The right side of politics with their flawed financial superiority complex, and the left with their six figure battler status. The whole petentious system gives me the $hits. History will tell you Labor were always going to win these bi-elections. Turnbull was correct in his pre election predictions. He was no fortune teller though, history dictated it. Shorten on the other hand spoke absolute crap, adding to his very dangerous agenda of class warfare. He is determined to split the classes for a turn in the Lodge. This may be because he has no real policy, or that he knows his parties policies are still on the nose with the Aussie public. Either way, he is playing a high risk game with society in order to gain power.

Georgina is very hard right despite her disavowal of some of her IPA policies. I don't think the locals like her much. I think she has scuppered herself forever with the born to rule ideas she's stated.

I am really sorry that you lost your dad LeftRightLeft......... My dad passed on January 1, 1990 and it seemed to put me into a pretty serious philosophical crisis! He was only 68 at the time...... I do hope that you don't go through the level of anger at Jesus that I went through........ No kidding..... within a few months I began to kind of wonder if I had gone over to the dark side of the force?! Could the Christian gospel be much worse news?
