I smoked in my mid 30s.. generally a couple nights a week in the bathtub after a long day.. It was helpful to me.. Heavy users and young users might have some adverse response because it would seem to delay facing challenges..

I have known several top notch board certified ER docs who smoked EVERY day.. several times a day in high traffic trauma centers who did excellent work and never missed a beat.

Taken in moderation I don't think its a problem.. but that may depend on the individual.

I am of an age when old friends are dying of cancer and other chronic diseases .. I encourage them to use it..

I no longer do, but that's not out of prejudice against its use.. its because its illegal and I would be put at risk by law enforcement.

Pot shouldn't be an issue.. Truck drivers and bus drivers.. or any other occupation that shouldn't be drinking on the job shouldn't use pot either.. but it has its place.

People die from taking aspirin. Lots of people. Every year. Get over it.

You might eat too much, and you could wind up in jail in some jurisdictions, but that's about it.

I don't know that I would fee comfortable being treated by a doctor that has been smoking pot. My old man is a physician. He smoked as a young person, and when my mom busted me doing it he didn't really care. Still, the weed culture can be toxic. People who don't get high anymore and only smoke because they're bored have a life devoid of any meaningful activity. That's the only real problem with weed. It makes people lazy.

I know people who work harder when stoned, and I know people who get lazy in front of the TV, no cannabis needed.

There is always exceptions but as a whole it makes people lose motivation. In young users it really takes away goals and motivation. There is exceptions of coarse but even large studies show it can basically make people content.

Cannabis and marijuana damage your brain and nervous system in a long time( it make you crazy finally and you will lose a part of your mind gradually). It also effect on your heart nerves and maybe it causes a heart attack or stroke. Then may it lead to death or paralysis. So I warn you, keep away from this anti-brain and nerve substance that offer you a joy and odd imagination and also create a false appetite for you. These are all the traps of cannabis and marijuana that attract you.
Those who advertise in medias that cannabis and marijuana are two excellent and fun substances and also they are as two effective medicines for depression, whether they are unaware or are deceiving and tempting you.

Read your 2 statements in red. First you claim ER doctors used pot on the job, then you claim truck and bus drivers should not use pot because it impairs their ability to drive. Obviously you know that pot impairs judgment and the ability to perform.

And ER doctors using pot on the job? No wonder more than 400,000 people a year in the USA die from medical mistakes.

Anyone that feels they need to use pot or alcohol on the job is unqualified and should quit or be fired immediately.

2 risks. IF you have a history of psychosis in your immediate family (uncles, aunts, grandparents, parents, siblings) it can assert a trait already there. Just like any other psychoactive including alcohol. So if you've never done any drugs including alcohol before and you might have the gene for schizophrenia, maybe not for you. That however is not a certainty. It happens sometimes to those already predilected for it but not every time.
2nd: if you have a form of heart disease it's not for you. Weed spikes your blood pressure in the first hour. During that hour your risk of heart attack doubles. Not st risk for a heart attack? Puff away. Have a bad ticker? Not for you.
Similarly if you have chronic high blood pressure, it's not for you.

Those are the risks, they are freely searchable.

"What are the true risks of taking cannabis?"

the true risks are really getting busted for taking Cannabis, the Prohibition on cannabis does more harm the the cannabis itself ever could

other then the the risk are about the same as drinking a glass of water... then again more have died drinking a glass of water....

though to much of a good thing is mad for you... even Twinkies....

fast food addictions can harm the vulnerable too

Sadly, all articles about cannabis that I have seen in the western medias up to now are converse to realities of cannabis and marijuana. Apparently, there is a public political movement in the west to introduce these drugs as the beneficial things, because they drown people in the odd imagination and also offer them experience of a false joy that cause they forget the realities that hint to problems and difficulties in the western societies. In the other word, a covert political system try to spread out a propaganda around benefits of these substance and treat western people with using marijuana and cannabis, just like liqueurs that are harmful and it is tried to show theme as the best recreational drinks.
How many lethal car accident happened because of drunkenness and how many people dead in the accident just because of drunkenness of a driver? Western cultural system never want to confirm this reality that alcoholic beverages are harmful and damage people bodies in addition to social damages.

Cannabis and marijuana are like alcoholic beverages but with other harmful effects which some of them are spiritually.
When a person use cannabis lose his real understanding and realization sense ( in a noticeable level) and travel to an imaginary world that is different with true word. Continuing using cannabis or marijuana take you away from realities wholly and make you a paranoid and inactive person.

    Little to none.

Marijuana needs to be legalized immediately.

This is one of the biggest jokes I've ever seen--it would be funny if it weren't so sad.

Your religious beliefs are irrelevant to me, and I'm sure to many others as well. You're preaching, not rationally discussing the subject.
