    Eric Clapton, Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker (CREAM) were widely hailed as one of the first "Super groups": stars from other bands (Clapton from the Yardbirds for example) who combine to create a new group of superstars. Some of Cream's best records-such as Disraeli Gears-were produced by a bassist and singer who went on to become part of what was called America's answer to Cream-the Late great Felix Pappalardi who along with Lesley West and Corky Laing made up MOUNTAIN

    Here is one of my favorite Mountain tunes featuring Felix's soaring lyrics and impeccable bass scales along with West's ferocious guitar
