Not everyone that is against abortion is religious ya know. Hell...there are people that are religious and are for abortion. Perhaps you shouldn't pigeonhole people so much.

I dunno, you may have never used one, but hells bells bro, one would have to be ridiculously lazy to not wear one or take the 20 seconds to gear up. Prolly takes longer to mask up, disinfect just to go shopping for most folks today.. SO one would think beating the COVID day after day might actually be HARDER then killing, or capturing a tablespoon of spewdem

And we will not even evaluate someone to lazy to drop a pill the next morning

I'm an agnostic, but I think a baby in the second trimester is almost guaranteed to go full term. Which is why I'm against abortions after the third month.

It's evil, when a perfectly healthy woman who knows she is two-three months pregnant with twins, and asks her doctor to kill one of the fetus. so when that little girls tells her mommy she wished she had a sister, her murderous mom can say, "Funny story, you did have a sister, mommy killed it because she didn't want to have to move out of her apartment in the Hamptons. And now you have a nice bedroom and lots of toys."

My understanding is that this was something she discussed in the days before her death (allegedly). She doesn't get to decide obviously even if the stories are true. I would find it a bit odd that was all she could come up with on her death bed though when asked about any message she would like to get out there that she hadn't already in her lifetime.

Right. She supposedly wanted a "new" president, Trump winning reelection would not be 'new.'

We really do not know what her wishes were. Besides, even if it was her wish, she does not get to bypass the Constitution and force the president to leave the post open for four months.

The people voted for Trump, and in the mid terms the people actually increased the number of Republicans in the Senate. This gave Trump a clear mandate to appoint her replacement.

Ginsberg knew she had cancer many years ago. Ginsberg should have stepped aside under Obama. She gambled that Hilary would win in 2016, she lost that gamble. She does not get to then change her mind after losing her bet, and force Trump to wait four more months.

Especially now - The SCOTUS might have to rule on a case to decide this election, which looks to be a fiasco. We are not going to risk throwing the nation into turmoil with a possible 4-4 split SCOTUS decision to settle a case that might decide who the president is. All because Ginsberg should have stepped down in 2015, but decided not to for selfish reasons that madame president might appoint her replacement.

I have had people close to me die of cancer, and the last weeks of their lives they are on heavy medication, not very lucid or aware, and mostly confused. To think RBG was conversing with a clear mind, much less talking stupid ass politics in her dying days, is very difficult for me to believe. I think whoever claims she said this, is lying, and inserting their own interpretations and desires.

Probably but supposedly she told it to the woman, whoever she was, while writing a letter to her granddaughter.

I personally think Trump won't get a vote on his replacement before the election and think picking his nominee this close is a mistake, but who knows anymore. I have all but given up any hope of making sense of either side of the aisle.

Why would it be a mistake?

    1) The people voted for Trump, partially because we saw the people he would nominate to the court.

    2) Then Trump gained Senate seats in the mid term, partially because we saw who he was appointing to the court.

    3) Trump has a mandate from the voters to nominate the next justice.

    >>> 4) We do not want a possible 4-4 split decision on the election!!!!! <<<

    5) We do not vote for the president for him to pocket the nomination

Are you implying 20 seconds is how long it takes you to put on a condom? I really wouldn't know, since my partner is the one putting it on for me. Why is this relevant?

She probably DID say more, but the left wouldn't care about any of it! If it's true that she had this dying wish, she couldn't have wished for anything more PERFECT for the left! :roflol:

So what is the maximum amount of time that you think a seat should remain vacant?

I have some sympathy for a dying wish, but not that much.

At the very least he is going to cost Susan Collins her seat and most of the republicans I know said they were voting against Hillary, not for Trump.

What does supporting Trump have to do with religion? I'm not religious either. Politics and religion don't mix. Politicians use religion as a tool anyway, which is what religions are designed for. Pelosi plays the religion card as much as Trump does.
