    Cops will follow orders.
When it gets down to brass tacks, it will be follow orders.
They can bellow and puff chests right now all they want, it will only come back to bite them.
You think the Obama adminsitration is not keeping track of all the cops and sheriffs that are shooting thier mouths off about how they WILL NOT enforce new laws.
One phone call from Justice will get those guys right back in line.

See that's quite illegal, but considering the Obama admin doesnt understand the bill of rights nor the concept of due process its not entirely out of the picture.

Nope, Iam not a cop. Cops are a different breed, I can tell my boss to go pound sand and not be arrested for it.
Cops disobey lawful orders from thier bosses and they can be charged.

If you have never used a gun to defend yourself, you are hardly close to being "experienced"

Really? Wanna put money on it?
I dont know what kind of local yokal podunk PD you work for, but in the real world an officer can be charged for disobeying a lawful order by a superior.
Just like a citizen can be charged by an officer for disobeying a lawful order from an officer.
Short of just quitting thier job, they will have to follow that order or immediatly contact thier union to get legal protection.
But by that time they may as well kiss that job good by.

When did the police start signing our paychecks? You give them Rights over us? Are you saying that everyone is equal, but some are more equal? LEO is nothing but bootstrap thugs looking to kill people at any point, just because they can.

You can be arrested for refusing a lawful order. Look it up.
Cops says keep moving. Say away from an accident scene and you say "f you I aint going anywhere".
You get to go to jail.

Nope, they cannot give you illegal orders. Sure they can be stupid and try and arrest you and you will win the legal lottery, but they cannot, by law, give you illegal orders.

Really? Tell ya what. Give it a whirl one day. See how it works out for ya.
And I said, "lawful order". Not an illegal order.
You a lawyer? Paralegal? Cop?, if none of them. I suggest you start reading.

What do you consider a lawful order? For instance, if I am walking down the street and a cop asks for my ID am I required to give it to him/her?

you failed to answer the question....Why should I even consider following any order from a corrupt cop? Each time they get their way, they have even more power over you and I. If I remember myhistory, we ran these bastards out of our country when they worked for King George. What is the difference? Those bootstrap thugs are no different than the ones we have today. Pity, they'll be the frontline cannon fodder when things go south.........These POS will not acknowledge the Constitution or your most basic Human Rights...........so people like you say it's ok for these thugs to order law-abiding citizens for trying to protect their Rights?
No wonder we are in such a fricking wreck. You might appear to supporting the neo-redcoats and their high-handed methods......cop lovers paaaaaaaaaaaaaah!

In some states yes, you can be asked for ID.
They did it in NY for years.
The orders I am worried about are not from the cops to me, but from cops superiors to them.
Once gun owners are deemed criminals for certian types of guns, what is to stop them from doing a warrentless search.
Just like for drugs. Or no knock raids on homes with certian guns registered there.
This whole universal background checks is going to open up an whole new can of worms. Especially with medical records being brought into the mix.

Read enough of my posts and its clear where I stand. I have made it clear that no one, badge or not. Is going to take my guns. Or deprive me of my right to own what I feel is needed to defend my home and family.
I have not waivered in that one inch.

Law Enforcement Officers are required to take something called an Oath of Office. It is something along the lines of "I am going to enforce all lawful orders handed down by my chain of command... and uphold the Constitution of the United States." Unlawful orders are not expected to be followed but actively prosecuted in the name of law. Prosecution of law enforcement for breaking the law, while not common, still happens depending on the crime committed.

Can you give one example of an unlawful order that would get you arrested and then thrown in jail for the duration of whatever "crime" you have alleged committed?

Disobeing a lawful order is a crime unto itself.
Persuant to whatever state sentencing guidelines per state you live in.
    These threads are very misleading.
People want to know what cops are going to do when more draconian laws are passed.
I say, and no one can prove me wrong. Cops are going to follow orders, those that dont will be dismissed.
How many times have you seen or heard of cops shooting the wrong people?
Kicking in the wrong door in a no knock warrant?
    Arresting the wrong people?
Happens every day. And when its going to come down to enforcing the new gun laws that Obama wants, it will be no different.

Cops are not mindless automatons. There will be some that do follow orders, most will resist passivly, and some will quit or be fired based on their beliefs and the oaths they took as LEO.

I disagree. Most will stay on the job.
They will follow orders. They have jobs, homes, families, careers, retirements to think of.
Once you are fired as a cop, its a task to find work doing the same.
So, not bashing cops. But I will say again, they will not be our friends in this fight.

You've taken my point out of context I'm afraid.

The statement was "Cops disobey lawful orders from thier bosses and they can be charged." Yes, that is my experience.

As for using a gun to defend myself, in your eyes then I must be experienced.
