Yes, I agree with that. It also annoys me when a person is a straight party voter. You know, just voting for a person because they have an R or a D next to their name.

That when something obviously good happens for our country, the party who lost the most recent Presidential election consider it bad news simply because they're scared to death that the President may get some credit for it. Beyond that, it seems to me many on the party that doesn't have the white house are just as happy as they can be when something goes wrong/bad for our country. Simply because they have something new to criticize the President for. This goes both ways. Glad I'm an independent. Wish many more Americans would join me. What's good for our country is good. What's bad is bad.

Also, just because you don't like a certain politician or they happen to represent the other major party doesn't mean everything you hear that makes them look bad is true. The actual truth should matter to all of us much more than it seems to.

The way in which the right wing is now nothing more than shills for their corporate masters, their pols and pundits happily selling us down the river with patriotism, religion and jingoism while their lickspittle minions cheer. You can wrap feces in the flag and bless it on the altar all you want; it still stinks, no matter how much you say it smells like victory.

No requirement for civics? Every public high school teaches government. Its a required course for seniors.

The problem is CAPITALISM. The news is a comodity, a product that needs to be marketed and sold. So just reporting the news is not a product people want. so they jazz it up to capture various demographic groups. The american system is total BS. What you need is just to havce someone BLANDLY read what happened verbatim and that be the end of it.

America is too large and diverse to function properly as a federalist democracy. We need to roll back federalism or break apart.
