Literally verbatim? The ALEC organization is behind all of these "Stand Your Ground Laws" which are all, literally, the exact same law. Should we be allowing organizations outside the legislative branch to hand a copy of a law they want implemented and a check to politicians all over the country for in order to further their special interests?

ALEC represents the DISCOUNTING of the voices of regular, everyday Americans. The legislation they PUSH, is funded by very wealthy (Koch) interests.

Isn't it amazing the kinds of laws "green backs" can buy? Why, they can even buy "green legislation"!

If legislators pass laws without reading them, why in the world would you expect them to write them. Of course, legislation is written by environmentalists, unions, socialists, "green" industries trying to secure "loans".

I don't think I care who writes a law. I think every legislator should have to sign an oath on every vote attesting to having read the law. The President should have to take an oath saying he's read the law before he signs it into law. I think laws should have a size limit. Obamacare was so large, and added to so quicily with changes and regulations, that even if you started reading you'd never finish.

Lastly, the titles of laws should have some connection to the law. Who would guess the "Employee Free Choice Act" is the "Card Check Act" designed to deny employees free choice? Gee, I wonder who wrote that?

It simply means that everything is running to SOP.

At least those laws haven't killed any innocent children.
