it has that spaceship look but not very feminine. You know, like how a Lexus RX has that feminine look, even has a horn that sounds female. so far i got earrings and a space gun, try again?
Are you wanting a Revolver or Semi auto? This is what my wife carries, She is small in frame and height.
I had a "Ladysmith" in 38 calibre, but i gave it away when I went to Hong Kong. Im in grad student housing (in the US), so I cant have a gun now anyway. Im not trying to be practical, just thinking in a in a fashion statement sort of way. Sorry if I didnt make that clear to begin with. Like if I were a Bond girl (ha, dream on...) what would I have? if I do get another some time, then i will try to let someone advise me, as this is so far from where I could say Im an expert.
a .380 with a hammer instead of an open slide for example: http://www.hinterlandoutfitters.com/380-acp-c-1316_1317_1318_1323.html http://www.hinterlandoutfitters.com...lack-checkered-grip-black-finish-p-37387.html
It really depends on the purpose, are you looking for a gun for yourself? For CCW? Home defense? Or is this just a question in general?
I think 1911's are sexy looking. ... And Broomhandles. omg these are so awesome. I would like to snag a pre-34' so I would not need the SBR atax stamp for the stock.
Beretta 84FS Cheetah. It's a 380 caliber, great for those who have a little fear of guns or do not like strong recoil. It has a steel frame and is similar in appearance to the Beretta 92 (military designator M9), yet smaller.
A girlie gun... Ruger makes the LCP with a colored frame. Purple or pink. They're very small. It would look like an "accessory". They're not at all accurate, but how much distance was there between you and the guys who beat you up?
I believe that if I had had any sort of gun i could have scared them off, nobody needed to get hurt. Not that I'd give someone much time to make up their mind, the concealed carry class they said and showed how fast someone can move and how little time there is. My question really tho was just what would look kind of like bond girl sophisticated and deadly, not cute. I dont really know why i asked.
The 9mm doesn't have much recoil at all, the 9mm should be first choice over a .380ACP any day of the week.
On that, you're right as can be. The problem I have with the current crop of smaller 9's is that none are a true pocket gun. Even the Kahr models, which are touted to be so compact. I went to a gun store to look at them. Lay a CM-9 on top of a Glock G26, and the Kahr has a bigger "footprint". Lay it on top of a Glock G19, and it's about the same. The Kahr is slimmer, but not by a whole lot. As for anything from Ruger in 9mm, I plain don't trust 'em. Their "pocket" 9 was mentioned here. I looked at one. It's just a bigger version of the KelTec design that is used in the LCP, complete with the very narrow section near the muzzle. It does have a better extractor than the KelTec PF9, but that narrow section near the muzzle disqualifies it for +P ammo. Remington is coming out with the R51 at the Shot Show. If it's smaller than it looks, it might be a choice. It's a single stack 9, and some have complained that the look is too much "Buck Rogers", so it may fit the part about looking like a secret agent thing.
The 43 is chambered in .380, and it's WAY too huge for the intended market. A popular notion in the "gun community" is that Glock isn't too concerned with a single stack 9, just because they're making more than enough dough in the military markets. I wanted to report that the Sig P-290 is a good step in the direction of bringing down the size of 9mm pistols, but this review turned me off about it: http://www.gunsandammo.com/reviews/winning-handful-sig-sauer-p290-review/ With that, I have yet to see a sub compact 9mm that appeals. It's pretty common knowledge that the Kahr models all require 500+ rounds of break-in firing before they're reliable. There is the Beretta Nano, and maybe something really small from CZ. Here's a bit of discussion about the CZ Rami: http://thefiringline.com/forums/showthread.php?t=272056 Being based on the tried and true CZ-75, it has a lot going for it. It looks nicer than most. There's always something that you'd like to see "different" with a very small gun. That's the nature of the beast, I guess. Here's a comparison of 3 of the more popular choices: http://thearmsguide.com/1066/sub-compacts-ruger-lc9-glock-26-beretta-nano/ Of the 3, the Glock has the best track record for accuracy and reliability. I might want one, if I didn't already have a G-19.
I have a Glock 26, and like it. The Sig Sauer P938 is a small single- stack 9mm that is double action/single action like a 1911. Haven't shot one, but intend to. I also have an LC9, but do not like the DAO trigger pull at all.
