"Life" news is an anti choice, anti women's rights site....commonly referred to as Liesitenews due to all the misinformation it vomits out....

Sorry no 2+2 does not equal 235. Conservative oppression leave us alone liberal oppression, we want all your money and you have to believe exactly the same way we do.

While harsh, that is exactly how our country works. It's not too difficult to find posts all over the internet with people having conniption fits because of minorities "taking over" everything. They feel pushed upon and excluded but still don't have any empathy or understanding toward the people that have experience that very thing since they took this first breath in the world.

The argument is that bigotry (of any type) does NOT exist and that's psychologically the easiest way to ignore or outright rationalize there is NOT a problem because it doesn't impact them.

    * Stolen land from people that were relegated to 2nd class citizens simply because the efforts toward genocide didn't work.

To this day, the rate of substance abuse and domestic violence on reservations is astronomical.

    * That land worked and cultivated at the hands of **people** that weren't even counted as a "full" person or paid for their slave labor and, again, ignored and hated for no reason other than the color of their skin.

To this day, we see this. Black people are still the last hired, first fired. They are still paid less than their white counterparts doing the exact same job. They are treated more harshly in every step of the criminal justice system. They are still steered to the worst parts of any communities regardless of their credit scores, are denied or charged more for mortgage and car loans.

    * Asians are exploited for our entire IT infrastructure and imported goods (even Trump and his daughter have their manufacturing there).

To this day, we haven't evolved as a society to even be able to recognize the difference in physical features between Chinese, Japanese, Koreans, Vietnamese or any other Asian culture. Can you possibly imagine if your features were lumped into some "catch all" word like "Oriental"? Isn't that message quite clear in saying "You aren't important enough for me to give you the common courtesy of knowing from where you hail."?

    * Hispanic people are exploited for under the table wages, often by the very people that publicly fight against immigration.

    * Women of any race are still paid less than males doing the same job. Women that are not willing to provide sexual favors for their supervisors are often terminated or passed over for promotions or, worse, sexually violated at work.

    * Unwanted, abandoned and runaway children are often kidnapped and sold for human trafficking in which they are sexually brutalized constantly.

Clearly not all white people are racists and bigots and all minorities aren't saints but to make that distinction with a broad stroke based on the color or gender of another human being is not only wrong, it's counterproductive to what we claim to be. To deny the fact that there is not privilege **strictly** based on the level of melanin in one's skin is not only dishonest, it's exactly why the OP's statement is accurate. No, it's not pretty. It can't be because we don't live by what we claim our values and morals are and if we aren't willing to do that we should at least stop pretending our problems exist solely because of the people we exploit and marginalize thereby to retain the freedom we have by birthright.

    Freedom is a fickle thing.

We’ve often referred to it in the founding documents of the US, but never really adhered to it.

Today we often use it as an ideal to throw as fodder to a fire with no conception to its meaning.

Now, we fear it so much it will never be a real thing.
