What new movie did you go see in a theatre, and what was your opinion?

Well. . .I guess they could always take it in real science fiction direction. . .you know, like she landed not on the earth, but "someplace else," and she has to survive in that hostile environment until she is rescued by . . .aliens?

Whatever. . .I'm just being silly! As I said, I don't often enjoy sf movies, but this one was good!

 

Well the thing is, I'm a fan of science fiction but I did not for a second think of that movie as science fiction. It looks like they played it fairly straight. We are just not used to thinking of near earth orbit in context of "normal" rather than science fiction.

 

I saw "Sicario" yesterday and it is an excellent movie.
