The beauty of the free market is that you're free to buy whatever you want for whatever reasons you choose.

    All businesses need propping up.

For me to accept that you're going to have to define propping up.

Unemployment is not the result of too little sharing of labor. It is the result of too much government control over the invisible hand.

Eliminate unemployment benefits, minimum wage, excessive regulations and the rediculous taxcode.

OK, that makes sense, but I guess it is how you look at it.

If a bank told you that they have a house that you can rent and that after renting this house for 30 years, they would give you the house for free...would you think this is a good offer?

That is basically what you are doing. As long as you do not over pay for the house or get "upside down" on the mortgage, it is a fairly risk free situation.

If you didn't pay rent, you would get kicked out. If you did not pay the mortgage, you would get kicked out and the bank would claim your house. The bank would then resell it...and you would get any money over and above what was owed on it. However, the bank will probably only try to sell it to cover the outstanding mortgage.

You would have insurance to cover any damage, so that should not be an issue.

One thing I did do is to invite people to help out on some of the side jobs I work on and splitting the pay with them. It gives them a chance to learn useful skills, build a portfolio and make some extra cash. It gives me an extra pair of hands for the bigger jobs, although it can slow them down a bit too.

    Impose tariffs (protect manufacturing)

End the IRS (makes it much easier to hire people and manage finances)

Lower minimum wage (hire price=lower demand for jobs)

End Obamacare (this should be obvious by now....)

Tax derivatives transactions (Force corporations to make money the old fashion way...with profits from LABOR!)

Allow gold and silver to be legal tender (imagine all the jobs that'll create)

Those may help, but not one of them is something that you can do. I'm aiming for ways that people can take personal responsibility for things and actually act, rather than trying to shift all responsibility to politicians.

What actions are you, individually, willing to take to fight unemployment.

Very, very, very very wise decision. Now, dedicate 10% of your earnings to investments.
