Libs always shout 'racist' at the earliest opportunity - and I ask, who cares about whether one is racist or not?

Why does it even matter?

Let's say I were to go and live in downtown Mexico City, Lagos, or Bangkok - are you seriously saying I wouldn't experience racism, , not a chance, the White guy will face a barrage of it every day.

Racism is abhorrent in how it relates to action. But coercive action being racially motivated does not make the case worse than otherwise.

I view it as a free speech/thought thing. Racists can say and do what they like: I'll hold them to the same standard I do everyone else - initiate force, or imminently threaten force, and I will (*)(*)(*)(*) you up. Refrain from these things and I'll leave you alone.

The biggest problem I see nowadays is the rise of black racists. Blacks are using racism as a cause for all their problems. They don't want to hear that black neighborhoods are infested with black on black crime; that these neighborhoods are breeding grounds for future criminals due to lack of proper parenting;that most blacks are killed by black cops etc... They want to blame all their problems on the white man when it's mostly a black on black problem.

This whole ferguson issue is a joke. Cops get killed in line of duty all the time yet when one thug gets gunned down in one incident out of thousands of encounters daily, there is a war of the white cop. Michael brown didn't quite seem like a big innocent teddy bear but rather a thug judging from his antics at that store and who knows if it was his thuggish actions that led to his death. Whites gets killed by white cops too, yet no-one cares.

Blacks should be waging war on themselves and more prominent blacks like Charles Barkley should be stepping up and making their voices heard. Of course Barkley is labelled 'not black enough' just because he speaks the truth blacks don't want to hear. Blacks should recognize that if you are an educated black man who respects the law and works hard, you will succeed. The real problems are the collapse of the black family, thuggish behavior and flashing the race card at every opportunity.

Has anyone ever come across a channel 'white entertaining television?' Blacks would march down the streets using the racist card yet having BET is perfectly fine.

Have you had discrimination? Has someone said that is was good? If not there is no double standard.

Now to your question, why should one care? Well, the way we treat our fellow humans is important. Racial discrimination is a stain on our country, but worse it can have an effect on whether certain people get access to the rights they are entitled to and anytime that happens we should all be concerned.

Oh and pointing out that you are racist is not about PC it discredits an argument since you can't view the world without serious bias.

 

And this is why people point out racism. So this thread seems to be two themes from the bigots:
1. Racism isn't bad
2. Racism is justified
3. They are the racist ones because we don't have White Entertaining (sic) televsion.

As for the double standard: that's because "tolerant" and "anti-racist" people assume that non-white people are inferior and can't be expected to behave well. White people though, by virtue of being superior, are held to a higher standard. That's why they will point out your racism, but not the racism from non white people.

(Anywhere, really, but certainly we don't endorse the so-called divine right of kings.) Our commitment to free public schools K-12 is that people will rise from wherever they are, & need that base to begin from. The same for public libraries, state colleges, public health & on & on.

If you're going to put on racist blinkers, then you're going to have to waste a lot of time & effort & energy parsing out - for instance, Can Prexy Obama be a good president (or senator, or representative, or fill in the blank) if he's neither all Black nor all Caucasian? Start there, go to Mariah Carey, & all the Show Biz & athletic stars, just for starters.

It's all a waste of time - we're a representative republic, & we need to generate our own scientists, engineers, politicians, statesmen, writers, doctors, teachers, ... Tinker, tailor, soldier, spy. There's lots of room in our society & our country - we need to fill the slots with the best people possible. Race is a component of who an individual is, but I don't think it's the most important one. I look for individual virtues & characteristics before I worry about race.

Sorry, not buying your leftist excuses that slavery has anything to do with what's going on in black America today. Whites living today are not responsible for the slavery that took place 100's of years ago. Not my family who immigrated to this country in early 50's, lived in rural Minnesota, no blacks lived there. ..oh and only about 7% of the entire US pop. owned slaves. I've been living and working in Laos for over seven years and been coming here since 2003. I've never received a 'barrage of racism' ever. The worst thing anyone one has said to me in a humourous way was a young novice monk who was talking to his friend was 'falang dung nyai'. Big nose foreigner.
