I thought I'd start a friendly thread asking when did you became supportive of President Trump. For me I kinda forgot exactly when but it was between the republican debates and the primaries. I weighing between him and Ted Cruz and I decided that Trump would be the best candidate.

Ayuh,..... Right from the moment I'd heard Trump was throwin' 'is hat into the ring,....

Not because I knew his politics, nor knew awhole 'ell of alot 'bout him,...
merely for the fact that he ain't one of "Them",.....

As you can imagine, I've been gigglin' since I woke up the mornin' after the election,.....
Perfect he's not, but he sure as 'ell ain't a Progressive either,....

I was initially a Paul or Fiorina supporter. I became a Trump supporter after seeing

    1. how infuriated he makes the idiot left-Complex, whom I despise with a passion, (I will almost... almost... vote for anyone the left-Complex calls "literally Hitler" on principle alone). If the "union" branch of the gov-edu-union-contractor-grantee-trial lawyer-MSM Complex is going overtime propagandizing against this or that candidate, and they were, it's almost a sure thing that candidate is going to be in line with my "abolish public unions outright" vision of US politics.
    2. his actual rallies as opposed to the MSM lies about him,
    3. his high energy work ethic in the campaign compared to Clinton's dodgy, lethargic slug routine. Trump ran an actual press the flesh campaign, and in so doing showed immense respect for the American people and their issues. Clinton ran the typical Democrat machine campaign, where each and every decision is just a "focus group" weathervane.
    4. Most of all the difference in stated policy. Trump's campaign contained policy planks I agree with, term limits and regulation moratorium for example, Clinton's contained planks I fervently disagree with.

Yeah, I was going to write in Ron Paul but then I realized if Hillary won then it would partially be my fault for splitting the vote. Not completely my fault but in a small way.

I became a Trump supporter after the Mexican rapist speech. What balls it took to give that speech!
I remember thinking just how nuts this guy will make lefties. Oh what a gift!

When he won the primary. He wasn't my guy but I had to get behind him. I liked him more during the general election than after the primary. I like him more today than I did during the general.

Trumps audaciousness, and tenacity dispite the dismissiveness displayed by the other 16 GOP candidates, won my admiration, and serious consideration, at the fist debate. After backing Romney, twice, I wanted a candidate who would not back away from a fight, and the fact he funded his own campaign confirmed to me at least, that Trump was a serious man, on a serious mission. Regardless of whatever else Trump may do, so long as his SCOTUS appointments are in line with our conservative values, I'll be proud to have been part of the deplorables ...

Hey, Ron got 1 electoral vote, though. That said, nobody can ever say that someone wasted their vote in 2016 by writing in the Statesman.

    As for the OP's question,
My answer is when he was proclaimed as POTUS,
for in that regard we are bound to support him.
Whether we like it or not he will eventually lead, but he do need guidance from our criticism and pointers from the country's think tanks. He could weigh up things and I'm pretty sure about that.

    Freudian slip.

First time I have ever announced who I would vote for before an election. Hillary was the worst possible candidate besides Obama during my lifetime. Trump winning relieved the horrible feeling of the last 8 years that the country was going down the toilet. Racial and identity politics of the far left control of the formerly Democratic Party would turn this country into the (*)(*)(*)(*)hole multicultural Germany and France is becoming. Instead of the diversity this nation has always had, each culture becomes a nation onto itself which is divisive and destructive. That is where the authoritarian PC left wing culture was taking us.

A little of all of the above, but most definitely after he delivered his stunning upset to Hillary Clinton and her mainstream media...

    Day one.

Free, unintended, ongoing tragi-comedy shows are just the best.
