I grew up with marijuana being an illegal drug. I never thought I woiuld live to see it lega;lized across the United States.

Is there any chance it will be made illegal across the U.S. again? If so when?

Not likely. Folks are fed up with the govt trying to prevent people from ruining their own lives with weed by ruining their lives even more with prison. Seems to me its better this way.

Almost no one in the U.S. has ever gone to prison for simple marijuana possession.

California is spiraling into the abyss and marijuana is a big part particularly for young people. I was watching a Ray Dalio interview from 2011 the other day and he mentioned the major problem of people not working, not wanting to work, and not fulfilling their potential in our country, and this was in 2011. All the weed, tik tok and bullshit has created the most lazy discontented rabble in world history.

At some point you'd think they would revert back and clean up their mess, but that would require acknowledging that you were wrong in the first place.

    It's the devil's lettuce !

But it's time for the government to stop declaring a plant illegal.

huh? Trump had a chance too, but he did not even push the Senate to get him the bill passed, I think you're talking about CBD

"Landmark bill decriminalizing marijuana at the federal level passes House committee"

    https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/lan...-federal-level-passes-house/story?id=67174950

all Trump had to do was get the republican run Senate to pass it

I know exactly what it is I'm talking about.
You probably just don't remember it because it was something that Trump did that people would have to grudgingly give him any sort of credit for.

Hemp, which is not a drug. Its used to make rope and textiles. Not sure what it has to do with the discussion.

They are trying to get pot on the ballot in Florida after the FL GOP has denied it so many times before. They are still discussing it, and the lawmakers tried to use the same excuse as last time to reject it but the SC says they cant use the same excuse every time when the proponents made the required corrections. LE has pretty much stopped enforcing the pot laws (minor offences) anyway, so they might as well legalize it.

Meh. He folded under the pressure.

You better put some grease on the axles of the goal post. I never said he legalized marijuana. He took hemp and its products off of the controlled substance list. Which is more than anything Biden has bothered to do

Do you think marijuana is a worse drug than alcohol? Would you like to see alcohol made illegal across the US?

I would say never. Pot will be engrained in the culture like alcohol. Outlawing it will work no better than Prohibition did.

Pot has already been ingrained for many, many decades.

Many decades? It started to get ingrained in the 1960s. It too hold a lot more in the ‘80s and 90’s when the young pot heads got political control.

A remote chance if the White Christian Nationalist ever take the presidency, house and senate by wide margins, we could become a Christian nation?!! (ugh!)
