Well science starts with a hypothesis. From there you try to prove it. I suppose you have to have faith that the hypothesis is correct but science in no way is "faith based". It is about proving or disproving the hypothesis. Science is a work is progress however, which is the very nature of it.

I just pruned some trees in my yard and now I may take my pistols out and do some shooting. I have a HK 9mm, Walther PPK .380 and a stainless super Blackhawk 44 mag. I really don't enjoy shooting the 44 mag but I make sure it's zeroed in at 50 yards. Great whitetail gun. Have fun and be safe!
