Where do you guys keep the litter box?

If they didn't would they vote for those who do? Well, given the intellectual level of the average voter you may have a point.

 

It's almost always a zero sum game. I can count on one hand the number of times I have changed someone's mind or someone has changed my mind on a forum.

 

Not necessarily since those are two different things. How is your intellectual level compared to the average voter? Why do you think most voters are right of your political views?

 

I've changed my mind a few times over the years. The problem you are seeing, IMHO, is that many members are staunch, hard core partisans. They wouldn't change their minds if their lives depended upon it. However, there are also many here who are lean Left or Right, but are primarily moderate in their views. The LWLs call them "cons" and the RWNJs call them "libs", but they are fair-minded enough to try and learn more about a subject to expand their view on it.

Those are the people I focus upon when discussing topics because they don't lie, but can make mistakes. They are more honest and open about their thoughts on a subject. Partisans are just silly, mostly scared, people who are more amusing than someone to learn about politics.

 

If you are asking about a cat's litter box, my cat is an Angora white Maine coon and therefore he needs 2 litter boxes. These are side by side in the bathroom near the toilet.

He uses one for peeing and the other for pooping.

He has learned that we all use the bathroom to pee and poo so there are no exceptions for him as a cat.

He is a good kitty and has only had a couple of accidents.

I voted for Darrell Castle of the Constitution Party. You should look him up since he is a true American patriot with morals.

If most voters were to the right of my position then Hillary would not have gotten 3 million more votes then Trump. Aside from that, I find my position to be quite in line with others such as Jefferson, Paine, Smith, Franklin, etc. It is called being a "Classical Liberal".

 

People can be right of your position and still vote for Hillary, but interesting that's what you believe.

My wife bought 2 automatic litter boxes that are self cleaning & I'm in charge of the "accidents"/ rogue turd management. The litter boxes stay in the old kitchen with the washer/dryer extra refrigerators etc.

 

I lined up fairly well to Bob Barr two elections ago and voted for him. This time around I was too afraid Hillary would win, so I gave in and went Trump.

 

As far as thread jacking goes...I personally believe let a thread go where it will.

there's nothing quite like visiting someone who has a tray of cat poop in the bathroom. worse still if you eat there - you just know that that animal has walked all over the kitchen counter tops in the dead of night.

 

I put the litter box in the dumpster with the dead cat.

 

Most boards I have visited do not allow negative responses to the new person. "I put the litter box in the dumpster with the dead cat"? Being told I wouldn't be here that long? Makes no difference to me, but it may cause issues for other new folk and makes it a little hard to grow a board. Just an observation.

I'm late to the party but welcome to the forum. Right leaning libertarian here.

 

My cat and I prefer the simple square open litter boxes. I got the largest size for him since he is 25% Maine Coon -- he is a 15 lb cat and only 4 years old. He will probably get as large as 20 lbs.

Anyone too squeamish about scooping cat poop and pee simply does not love their cat. After all it is a labor of love.

Scooping the poop and pee yourself tells you about the cat's/cats' health and diet. This is critical information that you need to know.

My cat has 2 litter boxes and uses the one on the left to pee into and on the right to poop.

The volume of the pee piles (I use clumping litter mixed 50-50 with clay litter) tells me if he is hydrated enough. The number of the poop turds tells me if he is eating right.

He usually has 2 poops and 4 pee piles per day. I clean both litter boxes every evening when I get home from work before I take out the trash.

 

I think anyone who voted for Hillary simply voted for the most qualified diplomat (not counting Benghazi -- I know someone will bring that up) and who themselves does not care about corruption (the Clinton Foundation) and does not care about gun ownership. There is nothing wrong with that.

 

It always worries me whenever my cat runs over to his scratching post and sharpens up his claws while looking at me sideways.

 

I believe that the staunch hard core on either end of the spectrum -- extreme far right (Ted Cruz)AND/OR extreme far left (Bernie) -- are very dangerous. These partisans are people who would gladly participate in a rebellion to force their views upon the rest of us.

The rest of us consist of the moderate left, the nonpartisan middle, and the moderate right. We are the sane and rational people. We ourselves always choose the lesser of two weevils.

 

We currently have 2 dogs & 3 cats
The reason we have automatic litter boxes is not so much an aversion to their poop & pee but to keep the dogs from immediately snacking on those tasty kitty nuggets before their good morning dog kiss etc. Trust me, I see enough of their waste material to glean the critical information I need to know.
Meanwhile, both my wife & I spend plenty of time ensuring that our animals are healthy to the point that some people consider us obsessive.

My sister-in-law has a Maine coon cat so I'm well aware of their size & disposition.
