A woman in the West End building said she saw a white streak go by her window early Wednesday afternoon and then saw Sugar after she hit the ground, said Mike Brammer, assistant manager of the animal rescue services department at the Animal Rescue League of Boston. You could see the impact crater where she actually did hit the ground and she actually lost some fur in the hole, too," Brammer said. The cat's small landing spot is surrounded by brick and concrete. Whether cats can sometimes aim, so if it did it itself or if it was a combination of luck or both it managed to hit that small patch of mulch, so it was very soft ground, he said. Considering what she had been through, she was in really good shape, he said. The feline, about 4.5 years old, was aided in her fall by dynamics akin to the flying squirrel phenomenon, Brammer said. You notice where their legs attach to the body, they have the extra fur right there, he said. If they put their legs out, theyre able to glide a little bit and control where they are going, and then I guess supposedly they can use their tail and move their body as a rudder to kind of control where they want to go. And ironically, the height may have helped her, he added, noting that a rescue league veterinarian shared information about a study on cats falling from tall heights. What happens is that the higher up, they reach terminal velocity and so I guess the sensation isnt that theyre still falling. It kind of levels out so they dont feel as stressed and they relax a little bit, he said. The Animal Rescue League was able to track the owner through the microchip and with help from the building. Sugar's owner, Brittney Kirk, a 32-year-old registered nurse, said at first she didn't think her cat had made it. She had left the window open due to the warm weather because she didn't want Sugar to be in a hot apartment. "It just seemed so unreal my thought was obviously that she didnt make it," she said. "I was definitely relieved and kind of in disbelief if there were a cat to fall 19 stories and to be fine, I think it would definitely be Sugar, because shes a pretty special cat."

Why is he not saying anything about the New Black Panther Party offering a reward that has now increased to $1,000,000 for the apprehension of George Zimmerman? Both President Barack Obama and the main stream media have agendas and they tend to ignore anything that doesn't fit that agenda. The Martin/Zimmerman case is a tragedy but there was an even worse tragedy that went largely unreported. The use of a picture of a smiling 12 year old Trayvon Martin, coupled with the description of George Zimmerman as a WHITE Hispanic sure makes it seem the main stream media had an agenda it wanted to forward. It is also amazing how quickly and how vociferously the liberal media has clung to this story. Yes, it was a tragedy but it paled alongside other tragedies that remained largely unreported. Channon Christian and Chrtistopher Newsom were kidnapped byLetalvis D. Cobbins, Lemaricus Davidson, George Thomas and Vanessa Coleman. Christian and Newsom had gone on a date at a local restaurant on Saturday, January 6, 2007, but did not return home. During their night out, the couple was carjacked, bound and blindfolded by three black males, and "taken back to Lemaricus Devall 'Slim' Davidson's rented house on Chipman Street." According to the testimony of the Knox County Acting Medical Examiner Dr. Darinka Mileusnic-Polchan at the subsequent trial of Eric Boyd, Newsom was repeatedly sodomized with an object and then blindfolded, gagged, arms and feet bound and his head covered. Barefoot, he was either led or dragged outside the house to a set of nearby railroad tracks. He was shot in the back of the head, the neck, and the back, and his body then set on fire. Channon's death came after hours of sexual torture, medical examiner Mileusnic-Polchan testified. Channon suffered horrific injuries to her vagina, anus and mouth. She was not only raped but savaged with "an object," possibly a broken chair leg, the doctor testified. She was beaten in the head. Some type of chemical was poured down her throat, and her body, including her bleeding and battered genital area, likely scrubbed with the same solution - all while Channon was alive, the forensic expert said. She was then "hog-tied," with curtains and strips of bedding, her face covered tightly with a small trash bag and her body stashed inside five large trash bags before being placed inside a large trash can and covered with sheets. Despite the horrific nature of the crime there was an almost total news blackout relating to it unlike the news saturation surrounding the Trayvon Martin case. What is the major difference between the two events, other than the far more horrific nature of the crime against Christian and Newsom? The race of the victim(s) and the perpetrator(s). The one case fit the liberal agenda of reporting cases of whites attacking blacks while the other didn't.
