The USA is at a decided disadvantage in this poll, as we insist on getting involved in EVERYBODY's business in all corners of the world.

Thus, on our best day we're sure to be creating more problems than any other nation no matter how good our intentions might be.

Not only that, when we realise that people dont need our help, we find the best way for them to need our help is to screw their country a little more.

You are completely right! We need to focus our minds and our MONEY on concerns right here inside the United States. Of course, the world's internationalist central banks, like the Federal Reserve System and the European Central Bank would never tolerate that!

Well, there are two nations that do not play well with others and refuse to learn how to do so - the USA and Israel.

    results so far are

    #1=USA

    #2=Iran

    #3=Israel

these are decent results, but Israel should be #1

Clearly Britain. Half the nations on your list are our fault in the first place.

    I'm evaluating ...

what I can say, taking a look at the options is that I find quite curious the presence of India without Pakistan [the two countries tend to compete about which one causes the biggest problems to the world!].

Anyway, in absolute today Iran, with its will of expansion of the Shiaa sphere of influence in Middle East is causing, in perspective, the greatest troubles to the world.

I still can't figure out the relationship between the U.S. and Israel. The people of the U.S. have, in general, never been particularly fond of apartheidism or Trotyskyism. I realize there are many end-of-world types in the U.S., but Jews think those people are just flat goofy.

Probably two issues are at play here; the first is that after WWII U.S. citizens were HAMMERED about having known in general what Hitler was doing during the Holocaust years while pretending to know nothing at all about it and then this is still a very Christian infused nation and the Holy Bible (bearing in mind that I am an atheist) is replete with text regarding the Jewish faith to the point where to a great extent Judaism and Christianity are permanently wedded.

Yes, but Christ supposedly changed all that, which is why he came here and why he was killed (bearing in mind that I am an aggie). There are more connections between Judaism and Islam than between Judaism and Christianity if you look at that issue as the only significant issue.

true, that's why Israel should be #1, as Britain mismanaged the Mandate.

I went with china. I know the us causes a lot of problems, but they also mitigate a lot, so i put them as a wash.

Iran is a problem, to be sure, but for global, china is tough to beat. They are bullying everyone along the pacific rim, meddling with the economies & currencies of everyone, promoting hacking & are actively pursuing a global stealth war.

The stuff in the mid east is pretty much limited to the mid east, even though it gets international attention.

I can see that the PC narrative about the US being the 'evil satan' has payed off, & gets to be the scapegoat for all the disappointments in other countries.

Perhaps so, but the point being that it's their issue -- that segment of the U.S. population to whom it's of great importance. Arguing that the issue is invalid does not make it stop being . . . their important issue.
