Well, there was always enough criminality and outright stupidity in Trump's past to bring him down if the right people wanted to make it public.

Think about it. He was giving the corrupt US political/industrial/war complex everything they could have wanted in their wildest wet dreams so why get rid of him?

The only thing he would'nt do for them is actually go to war though he threatened to all the time. To his credit the one positive in this whole lunatic presidency was that, for whatever reason-maybe because he was leveraged in some way to foreigners, he wouldn't actually attack anyone.

Then, just weeks after Bolton, who wants war with everyone, is dumped, the whistleblower suddenly has all this damning info on Trump..........

That's exactly what's happening. The people voted one way, and the established order is doing everything possible to undo or reverse it. They don't realize how much damage they are doing to democracy, "Vote how you want, we're still in charge."

 

Democracy was already largely a fantasy. More correctly an oligarchy with interchangable leaders from both parties to give the illusion of choice.

Trump is just another nail in the coffin.

 

I had posted earlier that I didn't get why the Times would publish as much information about the Whistle blower as they did, and apparently a lot of Times readers agree:

Yes, Trump was elected, not by the people on a popular basis, but by way of quirk of your Electoral College system. I really don't care. But to assert, as you seem to be doing, that once elected, a POTUS can't be made accountable for his conduct is just plain silly.

Is it uh a sitting president on a phone call supposedly trying to vilify a political opponent? Or sway an election in the Ukraine? Be SPECIFIC..cuz I'm lost. We all know the US my country of whom I'm very loyal too commits atrocities for our foreign policy every day and have for decades. Far far worse exponentially than anything I've heard so far on this matter

 

My point is that attempted extortion, which is maybe what Trump has done here, is NOT treason.
