Pretty amazing story about how the Outbreak of Coronavirus started in China. Every Country in the World should Boycott this POS Government in China to the best we can, because it Truly is an EVIL! Country for Infecting the World. This Crisis kind of reminds me of Chernobyl when the Soviet Union was Silent to their Nuclear Catastrophy until other Countries began detecting elevated Radiation Levels.

China wants complete control over their society, and doesn't want any important information to get out without their government stamp of approval.

The local officials were probably concerned it could start a panic, or false rumor that was blown out of proportion.
At the time these individual doctors were trying to raise the alarm, it was still too soon to prove it was really a concern. But to be fully sure of anything and develop a consensus takes time.

This of course is deeply embarrassing to the government now.

They are evil and despicable liars. Is there any good reason why all civilized countries shouldn’t recognize Taiwan tomorrow?

We tackle it before our first Covid case was confirmed on Jan 20th.

As of Jan11th, the following entities collaborated to develop a vaccine candidate, thus, knew Covid19 was a serious threat.

    1. the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI), Co-fonder; Bill Gates' Foundation
    2. Moderna Inc., main partner; Bill Gates' Foundation
    3. The National Institutes of Health (NIH), Trump's disease prevention AGENCY

Moderna’s Work on a Potential Vaccine Against COVID-19

Timeline of our response through March 30, 2020

    • On January 11, 2020, the Chinese authorities shared the genetic sequence of the novel coronavirus.
    • On January 13, 2020, the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH) and Moderna’s infectious disease research team finalized the sequence for mRNA-1273, the Company’s vaccine against the novel coronavirus. At that time, the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), part of NIH, disclosed their intent to run a Phase 1 study using the mRNA-1273 vaccine in response to the coronavirus threat and Moderna mobilized toward clinical manufacture. Manufacture of this batch was funded by the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI).
    • On February 7, 2020, the first clinical batch, including fill and finishing of vials, was completed, a total of 25 days from sequence selection to vaccine manufacture. The batch then proceeded to analytical testing for release.
    • On February 24, 2020, the clinical batch was shipped from Moderna to the NIH for use in their Phase 1 clinical study.
    https://www.modernatx.com/

ONCE AGAIN, as of Jan 11th, the above-mentioned entities knew Covid was a serious threat, and most likely, Trump also knew.

IMO, we should have put in place travel restrictions from and to Hubei, China EARLY JANURARY.

My great angry friend, do you think the Chinese would be better off if they had Donald Trump as their leader instead? Not only all the Chinese would perish, all humanity would also go the way of the dinosaurs!!!

Just look at the brief timeline of the coronavirus outbreak below:

Dec 30: Wuhan doctor Li Wenliang shared information on WeChat about the new SARS-like virus.

Dec 31: Immediately on the next day, China told the World Health Organization’s China office about the cases of an unknown illness.

By calling it an "unknown illness", it seemed that Chinese doctors were not exactly sure what the disease was. Even by now, nobody knows everything about this new strain of coronavirus.

Jan 25: Trump tweeted: "China has been working very hard to contain the Coronavirus. The United States greatly appreciates their efforts and transparency. It will all work out well. In particular, on behalf of the American People, I want to thank President Xi!"

Feb 28: Trump told thousands of cheering fans at a rally in Charleston, South Carolina that the coronavirus outbreak was "new hoax".

Mar 9: Trump continued to say the flu was more dangerous than the coronavirus and that Democrats and the press were inflaming the public reaction to the coronavirus.

Trump's first tweet: "So last year 37,000 Americans died from the common Flu. It averages between 27,000 and 70,000 per year. Nothing is shut down, life & the economy go on. At this moment there are 546 confirmed cases of CoronaVirus, with 22 deaths. Think about that!"

Trump's second tweet: "The Fake News Media and their partner, the Democrat Party, is doing everything within its semi-considerable power (it used to be greater!) to inflame the CoronaVirus situation, far beyond what the facts would warrant. Surgeon General, “The risk is low to the average American.”

Mar 27: Even by late March, Trump still didn't view the coronavirus seriously: "You can call it a germ, you can call it a flu, you can call it a virus, you know you can call it many different names. I’m not sure anybody even knows what it is"

My great angry friend, please ask yourself what was your Dear Leader doing during the 3 months after China informed Who about the virus outbreak on Dec 31.

Does it make any difference to America and the rest of the world if China was certain that it was not a common flu and informed Who one or two weeks earlier?

My parting shot: Please do a lot of research before posting anything in a parrot-like fashion that can seriously mislead all netizens.

Well said, perhaps some innovative entrepreneur (or "coronapreneur") could create a golf ball that shapes like a coronavirus for Trump and others to vent their anger on the coronavirus and defeat it eventually. :xd:

You have done a good job in the research on the timeline. Keep up your good work! If the poster had done the same, he would never have posted such rubbish.

My great friend, the "toothpaste is out of the tube" in late December, but did your Dear Leader use it in the following three months?

Perhaps some innovative entrepreneur should invent a toothbrush that shapes like a golf club and present one to Trump. :xd:

Correction: Knowing what we know now, we should have put in place travel restrictions from and to Hubei, China EARLY JANURARY

Also, knowing what we know now, easier to criticize than praise.

    The,

    a. Should have/Shouldn't have
    b. Before and After
    c. Sooner than Later

.....will be debated by all affected nations for a very long time.

In a press release by the CDC (Jan 17), "the risk of an outbreak remains low"

Well, for anyone's info, said "reassuring statement" was echoed by all leaders of Western Nations.

Well said partially. The Chinese government's strict censorship of news is understandable because of the large amount of fake news from Hong Kong and Xinjiang separatists. Meanwhile, the local governments have to made every step gingerly in case they unknowingly overstep the "political markers" set by the central government.

Of course like all other things, there is a dark and bright side in the control of information. Using an analogy, if you close all the windows (especially if you live in bungalow) you can prevent mosquitoes, houseflies, hornets, lizards, bats and snakes from entering the house, but you will also miss all the fresh air and the beautiful scenery outside the home.

As an experiment, I invite you and all other netizens to post your views in the China Daily forum, and you will feel the frustration as it takes a long time, possibly several hours for your posts to appear in the forum, or never at all.

However, don't be misled by the so-called democracy or freedom of speech in Western and American forums. They fare no better as quite a number of them are controlled by the CIA, FBI, the Pentagon, the US Marine or the US Army, the Republicans or the Democrats, or their supporters or followers. All these years, I have come across complaints by some netizens that they were slammed with the so-called "infraction" and banned from the forums simply because of their conflicting views with the moderators.

Is there any good reason why all civilized countries shouldn’t recognize all the so-called "Indian Nations" too?

If the US administration lets all the "Indian Nations" join the United Nations, China will have no reason not to let Taiwan become a UN member. :xd:

Well said, if you were the US president, America would not have fared so badly in dealing with the coronavirus crisis.

I suggest you should form a new party with the bull as symbol for the next presidential election.

China has to pay for this. We should:

    1) Stop our payments to China.
    2) Seize their assets in the U.S.
    3) Send their college students back home.
    4) Annex Taiwan as the 51st state.

    F—- them.

    1. My great friend, the hooliganism in your post brings to mind the following:

    (a) A German official's accusation of the US committing "an act of modern piracy".

    Source: https://thehill.com/policy/internat...ses-us-of-wild-west-tactics-after-shipment-of

    (b) Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau has warned Donald Trump that his decision to stop a US manufacturing company from sending respirators to Canada could prompt retaliatory measures.

    Source: https://www.msn.com/en-sg/news/worl...-canadian-doctors/ar-BB128Nrw?ocid=spartandhp

    (c) The brutality and selfishness of "Captain Shrimp Roe" in my political satire from "The Old Man of the Mountain" series.

    2. It's "every man for himself", or rather, "every country for itself (and the devil takes the hindmost)" in Trump's "America First" policy especially at the moment of crisis. To Trump's America, there is no difference between foes and allies. Trump has invoked the Defence Production Act to block 3M mask exports and grab masks from 3M overseas customers even though they had already been paid for their orders. From its quiet, low-key, almost secretive way of purchasing 20 (or 22?) planeloads of medical equipment from China, it seems that the US is trying to buy up all medical supplies from abroad including China (Just forget about tariffs on Chinese medical equipment at the moment.)

The following is my political satire on "Captain Shrimp Roe" from "The Old Man of the Mountain" series:

Narrator: After walking many miles along a coastal area, the priest found a middle-aged man lying on a sandy beach. He seemed to be unconscious and his clothes were heavily clogged with water. The priest squatted down and patted him gently on the shoulder. After a while, the man slowly opened his eyes.

Priest: Dude, why are you lying here?

Middle-aged man: I have been drifting in the sea, I suppose, for several days.

Priest: Please elaborate on how you end up lying here.

Middle-aged man: I came from a remote pirate stronghold which was besieged by government troops, I think, about a week ago. After a fierce battle, the pirate chief nicknamed Captain Shrimp Roe and 19 other pirates managed to escape from the island in a small boat. Before boarding the boat, Captain Shrimp Roe gave an order that nobody, except himself and two other pirate lords, was allowed to carry weapons onboard.

On the way to another island, a storm appeared out of nowhere and the boat was tossed about in the huge waves. Captain Shrimp Roe ordered the other two pirate lords to draw their swords, saying: "To put it simply, we are standing at the crossroads of immense promise and great peril. It is entirely up to us whether we lift ourselves to new heights above the waves or let ourselves suck into the maelstrom of disrepair. As the chief of the pirates, I will always put our gang first.

In order to survive the storm, we have to reduce the load on the boat. Both of you have to force the unarmed men to jump into the sea. You should know how to deal with them if they put up stubborn resistance.”

Priest: So you were one of the unarmed pirates thrown overboard to lighten the boat, but you are lucky enough to survive in the end.

Middle-aged man: No, I am not an ordinary pirate but a pirate lord. As I was third in the leadership lineup, I had to obey Captain Shrimp Roe's command. The other pirate lord and I had no choice but help him slay all those unarmed pirates who refused to jump overboard.

Priest: Please tell me how you end up drifting in the sea.

Middle-aged man: At first, I thought the bloodshed was over with only three men remained onboard. Captain Shrimp Roe, however, said: "It's not over because the storm is not over. As a human, I will always put myself first, just like you, as humans, will always, and should always, put yourselves first."

Priest: I suppose you and the other pirate lord had engaged in a life-and-death struggle with Captain Shrimp Roe before you ended up drifting in the sea.

Middle-aged man: In the final battle, three of us stood on the boat with our swords drawn. The other two were standing at each end of the boat, while I was the unfortunate one to stand between them. Captain Shrimp Roe told me: "My dearest best friend, I can't bear to kill you with my own hands. Among the three of us, you are the least-skilled in swordsmanship, but you are the best swimmer of the gang. Hence you have a better chance of survival if you choose to jump overboard than to die under my sword."

While I was hesitating whether to swim or fight, I did not notice that he was inching towards me. Suddenly he gave me a kick and I fell overboard. I let go of my sword, and swam as hard as I could to stay atop the huge waves. As I drifted further and further away from the boat, the last thing I heard was the noise of clashing swords, shouting and screaming.

Priest: Do you know who the final victor is?

Middle-aged man: God knows. I was fortunate enough to cling to a piece of driftwood in the choppy seas. I was in a semi-conscious state, losing all sense of time. When I felt my body hitting something hard, I found myself lying here. I suppose I have been washed up ashore after drifting for several days in the sea. I was so exhausted that I fell into a deep slumber until I felt your warm hand on my shoulder....

    3. N.B. My great friend, I could have reported you for infraction in using the four-letter word. It is my principle to keep my opponent in the "boxing ring" as long as possible till he is knocked off the stage. I am sure my good friend Meta777 will agree with me and appreciate my principle of fair play and good fight.

Great timeline but you missed the critical date the WHO told the world the Chinese virus was not transmittable from human to human. There my friend is the real problem.

Your Parting shot!, you're nothing but a Poster on a message board, so you're not an expert in anything related to Covid-19 or how to handle it. 60 minutes Australia probably has a lot more credibility reporting as far as this Pandemic is concerned then any of the Fake News BS Hate President Trump stuff you listen to in order to get your information. It's amazing how fast Liberals will defend China if they feel it will in anyway have a negative outcome for President Trump. TDS is Real, Fake News is Real and Liberals love to distort truth for Political gain, they never like to let a good crisis go to waste.

The Dems have only proposed green new deal initiatives. I fail to see how requiring airlines to make their planes more fuel efficient will boost the economy or kill the virus.

China’s responsibility is not limited to events within their borders. They're responsible for this whole mess. They allow the wet markets to operate even though they know pandemics will result.

We had people inside China to help the Chinese handle this kind of thing quietly themselves but Trump thought that "America First" meant we should let other countries have terrible epidemics because we can stop epidemics from spreading by becoming a hermit kingdom. Somebody should have told him that microbes aren't stopped by Walls but he wouldn't have listened anyway.
