You're free to substantiate this claim. Seems like nothing more than biased opinion.

Political correctness is why some people aren't out in the open with their beliefs. Hopefully that changes someday. In the meantime, there will be some whites who will move away from minorities after their neighborhood becomes dangerously diverse, as well as whites who move to exclusive white areas and admire diversity from afar. Personally, I think both groups like not living around diversity, only one is honest about it.

 

That suggestion will only be heard by white people. Other groups embrace their collective racial identity, and they are not going to abandon it simply because you say so. Society puts no impetus on them to change.

Only whites can lose in your scenario. The more their areas become diversified, the less white people there will be.

 

Let's assume this takes place in an environment where the Federal Government has been disbanded and each state/region can draft their own Constitutions.

What this really seems to come down to, quite sadly, is people looking too different from one another physically to properly integrate into a peaceful cohesive community. Abe Lincoln recognized this problem when he said:

"... there is a physical difference between the white and black races which I believe will forever forbid the two races living together on terms of social and political equality. And inasmuch as they cannot so live, while they do remain together there must be the position of superior and inferior, and I, as much as any other man, am in favor of having the superior position assigned to the white race.&#8221;

It seems he recognized this flaw in human nature which keeps us from living peacefully with one another due to visible differences. It's a fault existing in all populations, of course, such that blacks tend to keep to their own and whites to their own. Of course, before black vs white was ever an issue, blacks had their own divisions and whites had their own, especially in their respective homelands across the Atlantic.. That is human nature. We will never, ever have a completely cohesive society. There are always differences that will help delineate arbitrary groupings among a given population, and that will, as Lincoln said, necessitate the position of superior and inferior.

But even if that was the case, what right does a state have to use force in violation of an individual's rights? Just because something is in a Constitution, that doesn't make it right.

Unless you are arguing that slavery was right prior to the 13th Amendment.

 

You pulled a quote from Lincoln that expresses the differences between white and blacks, but America is not just white and black.

And what about latinos? Which side would they fall into? Asians? Indians?

Who makes the determination about which shade gets you into which group?

 

Of course that is not what I mean. But if blacks for whatever reason are now targeting whites--for crime and just for kicks---then that makes me more apt to be hurt if I live in a mixed neighborhood rather then a primarily white one.

Its reasonable to expect people to want to be safe.

I disagree. I think most racist/nationalists/separatists are so profoundly stupid their simply are none capable of accomplishment anything, which is why there are no prominent folks of note that espouse your position as a white nationalist.

People find all sorts of ways to divide themselves. Far as I can tell, the Latinos also keep to themselves. Neither I nor Lincoln ever said there were just two sides and no more to be concerned about. I'm just trying to address a fundamental sociological and psychological issue.

It's not just based on physical differences. Most of it is cultural. If it was simply a matter of skin color I would tend to agree with you, but race, in the discussion we are having, is not just limited to physical differences (although having a population that looks similar is arguably a strength. See Asia)

Good for you, but this isn't that far fetched, actually. America was an interesting experiment, but its days are coming to an end as a republic. The only hope left is to allow states and/or regions to govern themselves. As a self-professed "libertarian" I'm sure you can appreciate that (although that label has always seemed disingenuous).

I already named one. More importantly, you can only speculate on whether people share white nationalist views, or not. You have no real idea on how they view the issue, because it's not a belief they will broadcast at this time, for fear of a societal stigma placed on them. Hopefully that will one day change. Make no mistake, however... a large percentage of the progressive multiculturalists who claim to love diversity would never voluntarily live in a diverse neighborhood. Diversity is a nice thing to witness from a safe distance.
