Here's the reality: the Left believe white people are guilty of racism (except for themselves, and some of the most abject of them even believe they are guilty). They especially
believe that the white non-College-educated -- about half of white people -- are guilty of racism, because they haven't learned to mumble the liberal pieties.

And they're right of course. Certainly, in the sense that, if given the option of buying a nice house for $200,000 in a white neighborhood, and the option of buying the identical house for half the price on the edge of a Black neighborhood, they would choose to live in the white neighborhood. But then, so would all of our holier-than-thou virtue-signalling lefties. They're not stupid.

But they're probably right, to some extent, in a genuine sense.

Everyone knows that the Black violent crime rate is far out of proportion to Black numbers in the population (13.5% of the population, a majority of the murders), that after fifty years of special programs, affirmative action both official and unofficial, not much progress has been made in bringing Black income into parity with white. They hear the horrible bestial 'Rap' lyrics, know that the mass media are reluctant to tell the race of criminals when they are non-white, that the Left and liberals willfully deny reality about some police/Black encounters ... [my favorite is the Ferguson, Missouri case, where the policeman was vindicated, but the Left still peddles the 'Hands Up, Don't Shoot!' myth].

They know that most Black children are born out of wedlock, and perhaps sense that the main problem of Black women is that there are so few responsible Black males to marry. Perhaps they' haven't heard of the phenomenon of 'Acting White' -- that is, the glorification of stupidity, as opposed to academic achievement, in urban Black schools -- but they can see its results. They certainly don't know these details, but they will have gained an overall impression of the problem, and they're right.

But ... it's then very easy, for people without much education, to slide into a 'them' and 'us', "they're just that way, it's in their blood" view of the world.

The Left, which long ago abandoned rational materialist analysis of society for demagogic grievance politics, provides no help here. (The Old Left -- Communists and Socialists -- provided much of the manpower for organizing the industrial unions in the 30s: they encountered plenty of racial prejudice, including anti-Semitism, among the white steelworkers, auto workers, dockers, seamen etc. whom they worked among to build unions: but they understood that these people were products of their material circumstances, just like the Blacks and Jews these men were prejudiced against, and patiently explained why prejudice was not just morally wrong, but was self-defeating. And they were able to build racially-integrated unions as a result.)

Today's Left, as we can see from this forum, just views these people as their social inferiors. Just show them a photograph of tatooed beer-swilling guys in baseball caps, obviously not candidates for Yale Law School, and they just know that these horrid people are the same as the Sturmabteilung.

But don't kid yourself: the white working class could, in the right circumstances, slide into adopting a genuinely racist outlook. It would mean abandoning the social conditioning of five decades, giving up the official credo of America, 'equal rights for all', and opening up to a genuinely alien ideology, National Socialism.

Now, it's the job of conservatives to keep this from happening. And not only will we get almost zero help from the Left in this task, most of them will actually oppose it. The wish is parent to the thought, and they want to believe that the white working class in America are already Nazis, because you don't then have to think and argue, just emote.

So ... no co operation of any sort with fascists, racists, neo-Nazis. And if adolescent attention-grabbers try to épater les bourgeois by giving Hitler salutes and what-not, then out with them too.
