Any human civilization which is actually "civilized" needs some sort of basic common faith in something larger than just mere human, whether it's mythical or not, and whether the "faith" is mono-theistic or poly-theistic. People have a psychological need to believe in something outside ourselves and more powerful than our frail and temporary existence.

America's traditional culture and the success of our very unique experiment with a melting pot of different peoples was in no small part based on "In God We Trust". Whether individuals actually believed in the Judeo-Christian God's existence or not mattered less than having the majority of people believing in a common set of laws and values based on the Ten Commandments and the premise that we are all created equal at birth by a higher power, because we know that humans are not altruistic by nature. Mankind is naturally evil against mankind. Religion or some sort of "glue" is what holds people together as a nation. That glue is melting and the result is the failure of the American experiment.

 

Not that it matters, but yes he is, the commercial is exactly the same, except "Jake" is a black guy. The entire script is the same, except "Jake" is black.

 

It's nothing to be proud or not proud about. It's just a fact. The liberal intelligentsia in America and Europe starting pushing "zero population", birth control, and abortion rhetoric decades ago and we bought into it whole-heartedly, where other countries we consider to be less intelligent and advanced did not buy into it. Who's stupid now? Black and white Americans, and most Europeans, that's who. The "smarter" we got, the more babies we "conveniently" killed.

Humor break. The last white people in America will be the Mormons in Utah. Mormons like marriage and babies as much as Hispanics, native-Africans, and Muslims do.

Insurance companies are not fair when they use their scale to decide premiums.....blacks pay at least 20% more premium..especially fat blacks...blacks can't get a foothold in population expansion,because of lifestyle...Food Stamps are worse than Heroin....

Considering the state of Africa, majority Black would be far worse. Considering the states of central and South America, I’d say no it’ll be far FAR worse as well.

Besides some smaller Asian countries and mostly white countries, you be hard pressed to call any Black or Latino run country, successful.

Corruption, poverty and death is the cornerstone of non-white countries around the globe. Small Asian countries are successful as well. But black or Hispanic? Is that what you want?

 

Where did I say that’s what I wanted? I stated a fact, not a wish.
As for corruption, that doesn’t seem to really bother anyone anymore unless they can use it for political posturing.

 

Do people still watch regular TV with all the garbage and commercials? I haven't had regular TV in forever. I couldn't even imagine watching that crap now. A 30 min show is now like 15 min of commercials.

I did see a commercial recently that made me laugh. I think I was at the dentist waiting for a cleaning and their TV was on. Anyway it was an older white couple, think grandparents... and suddenly this little black girl and another little asian girl are there in the shot with them and its like a family thing. Im chuckling because I was thinking, "whose kids are those and where did they come from?" It was so random and obviously PC over the top. Made me laugh.

 

That sounds sounds about right since whites make up 77% of the population in the USA

 

I said others have said the the same thing you did and they seemed proud of it. Doesn't it suck to belong to a group and then be associated with what they do even though you didn't do it?

 

The Jake from State Farm ad was a classic. I understand why a real agent wasn’t the best fit for future ads as he was not an actor. They needed to come up with a new character who was a real actor but I don’t understand why the original ad had to be recut with this Kevin guy. Or why he couldn’t have a new name. To me it’s more of a doesn’t make sense kind of thing.

 

Blacks tend to live in more predominantly crime areas. As such, like any other group they are a larger risk to an insurance company as any population living in higher crime areas would be and I’m sorry but overweight people of any race present a greater risk to an insurance company because they present a larger risk of claims due to health problems inherent in being overweight. And being overweight is a choice. Would it be fair to ask people who are healthier or live in better neighborhoods to pay for the higher risks of others? Women pay less for car insurance for example because they have fewer accidents. Would it be fair for them to have to pay more because men have more accidents?
