I was just wondering... If a war did break out, who are Russia's allies, that Russia can rely on? Who is expected to enter the world war in support of Russia? Would there be anyone keen to help Putin defeat NATO apart from Belarus and Bashaar al Assad? If war does start, who is left out there standing by Putin? :321:

If war broke out it would be nuclear and that will be avoided at all costs therefore there will be no war. Just theatre.

In case of war Putin is facing the risk of having to nuke regions of his own country. There are too many minorities in Russia and some do not share the enthusiasm of central leaders in peace activities, let alone in dying for them in war. Some minorities would see war as an opportunity to rebel and sabotage him. Some might behave just like Chechnya and Dagestan.

This means he might have to also nuke some of his own people (not that he would have a problem with it) but radiation would reach the leaders in Moscow too as well as vital regions of the country. Therefore I think you're right... the web the world is made of is too complicated, too interconnected. Surgical precision moves are no longer possible. Now you can't intervene on the the small scale without affecting the large picture in that same manner.

Did anybody nuke the USA for invading Iraq and Afghanistan? Why should anybody nuke Russia for invading the Krim? All this hypocritical pseudo outrage of Western politicians is pure show. They do it ten times a day. About sexism, anti semitism, racism, anti feminism, anti multiculturalism, revisionism, conservatism and non vegetarianism. Where I live these people are called "the professionally affecteds". They will call for a boycot of Russian caviar and Crimean champaign. But only for the others.

I'm not sure about Iran. China will definitely not help Putin in a war against NATO. What Central Asian countries do you have in mind? Pls get specific, explain.

So Iran wants NATO to defeat Russia? So China wants NATO to defeat Russia? So Kazakhstan wants NATO to defeat Russia? It is against all these countries interests for the Russians to be weak and NATO powerful, so they would support Russia in what ever way they could without going to war with NATO. The only military alliance Russia would get is Belarus.
