From the standpoint of freedom, from the standpoint of Constitutionally limited government - the Dems and Republicans are simply wings of the same Big Government Party.

As Carroll Quigley wrote in his tome Tragedy and Hope, the goal of the international financial interests was to gain control of both parties to such an extent that the people could "throw the rascals out", but never actually have a substantive change in policy.

Government grows, grows, and grows; the wars, "police actions", and foreign misadventures continue seamlessly; laws and regulations continue to erode our freedom; states rights mean nothing to either party; the debt continues to grow regardless of which puppet is sitting in the Oval Office; on and on...

Haven't you noticed, the overall direction of the country has remained unchanged for decades - regardless of which party is in power?? Haven't you noticed that??

We're $189 trillion in debt and unfunded future promises - that isn't an accident. The leadership of each party are carrying water for the same agenda and the same monied interests that sit above our government.

If you don't understand these things, perhaps it would be best if you didn't vote at all... afterall, as with the hypocratic oath a doctor takes - first do no harm.

This is what you voted for -

    http://www.usdebtclock.org/

Liability per taxpayer?? Over $1 million each... charming, huh??

I voted for the Stein / Honkala (G) ticket in 2012.

From among the listed candidates, my runner-up picks in order of preference would have been:

    2. Anderson / Rodriguez (J)
    3. Obama / Biden (D)
    4. Johnson / Gray (L)
    5. Romney / Ryan (R)
    6. Goode / Clymer (C)

None of them seemed worth getting pumped up about in the race; most of these candidates had stances on some issues that I loved while their perspectives on certain others were cringe-worthy.

I didn't actually vote because I'm only 15 :( However I put down who I would have voted for, Romney.

It's interesting how many people voted for the libertarain. If we could set aside our relativly minor differences I've pondedered the idea of a libertarain - Republican coaltion government on the idea that government is usually the problem, not the solution. If we did that, our candidates would obliterate the DNC in the presidential elections.

Only 15 and you already have that insight?? Good for you!! I assume your parents are informed and level headed folks.

Most kids coming thru the government school system are indoctrinated into "democracy, environmentalism, fairness, etc..." Of course democracy is fundamentally unstable, CO2 is not a pollutant, and life isn't fair - and neither is the government magic wand, lol...

Good luck to you kid - you're going to need it as you move through life. You're facing a lifetime of government control, enormous debt, limited job opportunities, and restrictions on just about everything we associate with freedom. It's sad, but posterity is the true victim of the progressives and the Establishment who are pushing this evil agenda.

I'm an older guy, but have 2 young children - I feel very bad for them b/c no matter how much I try to prepare them for the future, I know money and property mean little when the rule of law has broken down. Their future, your future, looks very dark indeed. I would apologize for the mess my generation and previous have handed you, but my conscience is clean b/c I actually worked in the freedom fight professionally and can say I did everything in my power to stop it; but alas, it is like trying to hold back a tsunami - there simply aren't enough informed citizens to stop the ignorant from burying us all.

    Good luck to you.

This stupid lie again? Of course! It's how the Republicrats keep people from voting for anyone who might offer a real choice. I would have voted for Johnson, but the two-party scam made sure that the only people on the ballot in my state were Republicrats (and people wonder why third parties get so few votes, it's because many people CAN'T vote for them) . So, I didn't vote, thus proving this tired old lie to be a lie. See, Romney wasn't getting my vote no matter what. Neither was Obama. So whether I voted for Johnson or not, Romney's vote tally vs. Obama would be the same.

Absolutely false. An incumbent president IS the party nominee, period. Besides, who is he gonna face? A pro-choice Democrat. So Republicans will still vote for him as the "lesser of two evils" while claiming that if you vote for anybody else but those two evils, you are actually voting for the greater of the evils (a la, a vote for Johnson is a vote for Obama)!

You've got to remember that RightToLife is a kid, and this is his first time voting. He will probably need to get fooled a few times personally before he will have any chance of understanding what you are saying. Not everybody is willing to just learn from history, they have to "learn the hard way".

Why would you ever vote for a democrat - ever??!! Good grief, they're insane. $175 trillion in debt - and they're screaming for more!!!

Besides, you're so on target on the subject of GW - why would you vote for a candidate whom you know is going to push the lies of AGW, and use it as a justification for more government, more regulation, and raiding the public treasury for their green buddies??

Really suprised you would vote for any democrat.

Republicans aren't much better, but there's no excuse for any democrat - they're all demagogic, disgusting filth.

    http://www.usdebtclock.org/current-rates.html

Look at that debt clock - $175 trillion, and it's not enough for the dems. It's nothing short of tragic.

Our congressman is one of the most corrupt members of congress he has to go. I know the democrat who was running against him and while he is a liberal and we disagree on a lot he is a good man. He has actually been screwed over by the democratic party in our state more than once because he isn't corrupt. Too often we focus on political party and position statements and ignore the most important aspect of elected officials, their character.

As I said, Republicans aren't much better... Larry McDonald was a Democrat, and was assassinated for his troubles, but that was in 1983 - the Democratic Party has gone so far off the deep end from even that time, that there is no comparison between what they were 30 years ago.

That said, if your democrat were elected, you might get rid of a corrupt piece of garbage, but you are surely electing someone who doesn't understand the Constitution, the principles of freedom, and will vote the party line whenever it doesn't negatively affect him - and even then he will often times vote the party line anyway, b/c that is how you stay elected - money, and kissing the bosses ring.

The Democratic Party is a disgrace. They, by definition, care nothing about the Constitution or citizens rights. We were founded as a republic, and our founders wrote extensively about the evils of democracy. Democracy is a fundamentally unstable form of government and never lasts for long.

We are now entering into the finals stages of Death by democracy, the debt is but one indicator, but it is an obvious one. Once the currency is destroyed, and the economy implodes, we won't have a Constitution left to protect us from government.

I don't care how corrupt your Republican Rep is, you're not helping the situation by voting for any democrat.

MIght I suggest going the Doctor route, i.e. the hypocratic oath - "first do no harm" and don't vote for either of them, lol...

Gary Johnson, a vote for the lesser evil, is still a vote for evil.
