I am old now and on Medicare. Been a poor boy it is a Godsend as my health slowly goes south. If socialized medicine worked like Medicare I wouldn't be against it. Good healthcare was always too expensive for me. Even with insurance.

Apparently you didn't read what I linked. If you have any knowledge regarding health 'care' here in the States, you would understand that people who cannot afford 'insurance' (a front loaded payment mechanism) quite often go without care until it becomes an emergency. However, those who are not citizens, or even green card holders, can and do receive health 'care'.
