A real one or one of those republican imposters? Dennis is a phony, and Jeff would be great since he is a true conservative. So if those are the only choices I'd have to go with Jeff. - - - Updated - - - They need to find somebody new. Give an up and coming a chance or have a cattle call and find one American Idol style.
Are Foxworthy and Miller being considered for the job? What about Stephen Colbert ? Is he being considered? What about Chris Rock? Is he being considered? What about a dynamic duo like Trey Parker and Matt Stone? Have you even thought of David Spade? Jeff Foxworthy lacks the stamina for a Daily Show and Dennis Miller is too serious for satire. If those are the only two choices I would go for Foxworthy. Just out of curiosity, how did you come up with these two names?
Colbert? Do try to keep up. And Spade? Rock? Surely, you jest. Dennis is a great satirist. I don't have cable so I couldn't watch, but I would YouTube it a lot if Dennis were the pick.
No chance. That would be like the Vatican installing Russell Brand as Pope. I hear Brian Williams may be interested...
How many comedy/political shows do liberals have? Colbert? (Soon to be late show). Last week tonight? Bill Maher?
I guess I don't understand that sentiment. The purpose of the show is to entertain. I don't believe that Comedy Central will accept a less entertaining candidate just because of his/her political persuasion. If it must be a conservative then I will root for Foxworthy. Are Bill O'Reily, Sarah Palin, Dan Quayle or Laura Ingraham interested in the position?
Maybe replace him with a woman like Harris Perry. So we can more lectures about how our kids don't belong to us. They belong to the state.
you can watch the daily show... we will share, we have no issue sharing, just do not try to steal our show..... but feel free to enjoy the fruits of our labor
Of course, coming from me it doesn't mean much - but I genuinely think they should go with a libertarian. Someone who's relatively moderate in his views - like Jon Stewart was with respect to his liberalism. He was never as out there as John Oliver or the rest of his guest reporters. That was what made the show successful: he was able to appeal to O'Reilly fans as well as Liz Warren'ers. And he did it without sounding preachy or opinionated (most of the time). I can't think of anyone off the top of my head. They have to have a background in comedy - that goes without saying.
Conservatives say that everybody not in total lockstep with them is a liberal. Stewart's talent was that he really wasn't liberal or conservative. You need somebody like that. A really funny non political stand up might work, or, an actual real news anchor, maybe Brian Williams DOES have a job. It worked for Tanya Harding.
I think this guy should replace Jon. He is pretty humorous.
I don't care who replaces Stewart as long as they're funny and are willing to take shots at both sides.
it's comedy central, the only people who watch that channel are more often than not, unemployed potheads.
I'd forgotten him, and the guy who does Talk Soup, unfortunately I think they're both too identified with their shows.
Since Eric Hartman is already under contract to Comedy Central and leans to the right, Eric Hartman would be a no brainer. Would be a big improvement over Stewart.
