Who was behind the Jan 6 riots?

In your opinion. who was the instigator of the Jan 6 riot and why.

 

At first I was going to say "other" and then say "Trumpers" but Republicans ARE Trumpers now

Republicans are driving themselves right off the cliff with this. They are going to be like the Federalists after the War of 1812 when the Federalists had basically sided with the British

WHY are so many people siding with a really poor con man here? I might understand if Trump was a GOOD con man but he really can't fool a 6 year old. I understand that some of them are basically just bigots and don't care what the truth is as long as they get to bash some minorities but come ON, willya? Have some people NO real concern about what kind of country they'll be living in? Don't they understand that what they let the government do to some today could very well be happening to them tomorrow?

 

When you say specific Democrat or specific Republican do you mean one person cause it all like Pelosi or Trump?

 

What incited Jan.6th was a number of circumstances related to the election. A lot was Pandemic related. There was and still is good reason for suspicion. Citizens noted the unduly prejudice of the press. The suppression and denial of the Hunter laptop thing being one. The fact Trump won in all bell weather states and had a record number of votes but supposedly still lost led to even more suspicion. Needn't go into the many more details that aroused suspicion. The riot was exasperated when Capitol police allowed entry to the Capitol for an untold number. This was pretty much a spontaneous riot caused by splinter groups and individuals very angry. It was also the hopes and desires of the Democrat Party wanting to cover up any legitimate concerns about election fraud.

 

No one, I recently watched the documentary and it's very clear this was a spontaneous riot, there is no conspiracy here.

 

Rest of America is still rioting and in chaos and we are still talking about a 1 off incident where only one rioter died...

People protest all sorts of things and a small percentage of these events have bad apples. Any cause can instigate riots from wackos.

 

I'd say there are multiple answers to the event. It appears likely that many forthright folks wanted to protest from all over the nation. This much is established. None of the communications of these average citizens indicates their intention to "riot". It also appears that FBI and others used this as an opportunity to "create" or "craft" a riot. Much in the way we've seen them stoke other groups towards actions that absent the stoking from the FBI they would have ever discussed or otherwise attempted. (the Michigan governor event comes quickly to mind).

It also appears that in conjunction with the leadership of the democratic party, clear guidance was provided to capital police, and national guard troops who were assigned to the capital. Looks to many out here in the nation that this was a carefully guided exercise being fomented by our own FBI et al in support of the new democratic party.

 

The 1/6 is another hate hoax. The stars of the show were leftwing homosexuals dressed up as confederate trump supporters. Those involved were chris Wray, pelosi, Capitol police chief, and the community homo Hate Hoax organizer Obama....

Exactly. Was there a single person in the center of the web or, alternatively was this cooked up by a committee? I started this topic because I and another guy were hijacking a different thread with this question. He had some views I felt were interesting even if I didn't agree with them. I hope he shows up.

Valid questions and a valid conclusion. But here I'm looking at a single incident. It was not a protest, it was a riot.

 

Interesting ideas, but you seem to have conflated who incited the riot with allowing it to happen.

First, let me ask this: does being incited excuse a rioter from his actions? Second, Trump's speech an hour earlier called on his supporters to fight. Clearly, he was inciting them. The actions of the police and National Guard are another question altogether. I used this example elsewhere but it bears repeating: if I walk down dark alleys with $20 bills hanging out of my pockets, the person who robs me is still committing a crime. He doesn't get to blame me for tempting him. Making a crime possible or even likely is not a crime.

 

You really need to show some evidence for this. Are you claiming Ashli Babbit was a left wing homosexual? I'd be interested in seeing proof. What about Jacob Anthony Chansley, the 'QAnon Shaman'? Is he a left wing homosexual? I mean he's definitely got some weird going on, but the evidence I've seen tends to put him squarely on the right. Do you mean to say Ray Epps is a leftist? He's a member of the Oath Keepers on tape urging people to enter the Capitol.

Some dumb trump supporters followed. But those who egged it on were frauds, and those are the ones Garland is letting walk....

 

It was mostly peaceful protesters with several getting out of hand, just as in the summer long riots where most of the protesters WERE peaceful while many got out of hand.

 

Only in lib world would a president that ran on a platform and then keep his promises would be considered a con man. The same libs that vote for real con men that tell them what they want to hear then immediately reneg on their promises.
