Russia Says It Suspects Turkey of Preparing Incursion in Syria
    by REUTERS, FEB 4 2016

MOSCOW — Russia has serious grounds to suspect Turkey of preparing for a military incursion in Syria, where Russian jets are bombing rebel and jihadi fighters, Defence Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said on Thursday.

"The Russian Defence Ministry registers a growing number of signs of hidden preparation of the Turkish armed forces for active actions on the territory of Syria," he said in a statement.

Saudi Arabia Ready to Send Troops to Syria to Fight ISIS

by THE ASSOCIATED PRESS and REUTERS, Feb 5, 2016

A Saudi military spokesman said Thursday the kingdom is ready to send ground troops to Syria to fight ISIS — an offer welcomed by Defense Secretary Ash Carter.

Saudi Brig. Gen. Ahmed Asiri on Thursday told The Associated Press that Saudi Arabia has taken part in coalition airstrikes against ISIS since the U.S.-led campaign began in September 2014, but could now provide ground troops. The U.S. is scheduled to convene a meeting of defense ministers from countries fighting ISIS in Brussels next week month.

Secretary Carter later welcomed the Asiri's statement, saying that increased activity by other countries would make it easier for the U.S. to accelerate its fight against ISIS.

    .

I was hoping for a rapid reaction, led by NATO, to take Raqqa, which could and should have been liberated by now.

So the fact that we are only at "suspicions of preparations of an incursion" is disappointingly slow progress, I must say.

Nevertheless if the Turks are finally up for sending their army in to Syria and are ready to accept NATO assistance with overall command and control, defence of airspace over their ground forces, advance their army towards objectives NATO wants taken - with a view in particular to take Raqqa, targeting all ISIS forces on the way, but not picking any fights with NATO allies - Kurds and Syrian Democratic Forces - rather coordinating with them where necessary - then it is good news, at last and then NATO ought to take this Turkish invasion under our wing and make it a success.

In which case there would need to be some high level diplomacy between NATO and Russia to ensure our forces do not conflict with each other in a confused war-zone.

If it is not that. If instead it is some Turkish raid to go after Kurds, well that will not be welcome at all and NATO should oppose such an anti-Kurd raid.

I'm in the dark as to what's actually going on behind Turkish lines as much as the Russians are. So this is more me saying what I hope will happen, not that I know what will happen.

Russia and Iran are in the process of mopping up Syria. The US has no stomach to go into Syria and do what would be necessary to prop up their rebel/ISIS insurgents.
Russia and Iran have made the US and NATO look like fools and exposed their agenda of regime change and destabilization of the area by creating terrorist organizations.

The Russians and their allies have surrounded Aleppo and will take it in the following weeks. Once that happens, Assad is no longer in any jeopardy and the entire issue of NATO's attempted regime change is off the table.

Neither Turkey nor Saudi Arabia will dare set foot in Syria without the backing of the US and the US has no intention of getting involved. In fact Kerry left the aid workers with "the distinct impression" that the US is abandoning efforts to support rebel fighters. It's either go to war with Russia and Iran or admit that this particular effort to bring about regime change in the Mid-East simply isn't salvageable. “‘What do you want me to do? Go to war with Russia? Is that what you want?’” the aid worker said Kerry told her.

    Chinese or Aliens ...

Chinese and Aliens have still to bomb Syria. I expect, sooner or later to see UFOs over that country dropping alien bombs ... just to participate to the party!

I don't think that my country will invade Syria with Suudis. It would be a selfdestruction.

Southfront analysis and intelligence reported on March 3rd

"Meanwhile, the Syrian troops reportedly deployed in Southeastern and Northeastern areas of Aleppo and Hama provinces respectively are preparing to launch a joint anti-terrorism operation to free more lands in the province of Raqqa."

Well it doesn't seem like the Turkish military have acted in good time on my TAKE RAQQA BATTLEPLAN first published in August 2015,
    http://supremealliedcondista.newsvine.com/_news/2015/08/13/33784359-take-raqqa-battleplan

where I proposed a NATO-led, mostly Turkish ground force would make the sort of ground thrust from the south and west which Southfront are now predicting the Syrian Arab Army are preparing.

Unfortunately, Turkey has right now a bad president, Erdogan, who seems more interested in closing down the Turkish free press than fighting ISIS. Attacks on the free press are violations of Turkey's obligations to NATO and Erdogan should be held to account for such outrages against freedom and democracy.

NATO should be helping the Turkish free press by providing them with alternative satellite TV broadcasting facilities to rally opposition to the Erdogan dictatorship. Additionally, NATO could consider jamming Erdogan's propaganda broadcasts.

If NATO could get Turkish opposition support for the Turkish military being tasked in some fashion, even if my battleplan is too late for them, to help with the fight against ISIS instead of pursuing Erdogan's vendetta with the Kurds, then I would welcome that.

Otherwise, the road to Raqqa is open to the SAA and allied forces and NATO should facilitate this thrust, de-conflicting control of the airspace so that Russian air-force can provide all such close air support as is required for the SAA's advance upon Raqqa.

Sorry NATO didn't get there sooner but hopefully we can still play a positive role in future, perhaps supporting ground advances by Kurdish and Syrian Democratic Forces against Raqqa from the north, as was also envisaged in my battleplan?

    Let's roll.
