GATEWAY PUNDIT: The scandalous government agency that targets conservatives is now training with AR-15s.
    WYFF4 reported:

Republican Jeff Duncan said he made the discovery at a Maryland Federal Law Enforcement Training Center on May 23.

The congressman was touring the facility with Homeland Security officials as part of his investigation into the amount of ammunition purchases the agency conducts.

Duncan told News 4’s Sean Muserallo he saw about eight or nine shooters identified to him as IRS agents practicing at an indoor 100-yard range.

“While we were sitting there,” said Duncan, “the gentleman told them to sling their weapons and load a 30-round magazine into the AR-15s they were training with.”

Duncan said he was concerned about what he saw.

“Why do IRS law enforcement agents need standoff capability that you would have with a long rifle or with a weapon similar to an AR-15? They’re generally investigating tax evasion, fraud and money laundering. We think of the IRS as an audit agency more than doing the type of law enforcement where they have to use an AR-15.”

Duncan said the IRS has the resources of the federal government, including the FBI, if they come into a situation where they feel like they need a SWAT team.

Last year FOX Nation warned that the IRS was hiring thousands of armed agents to enforce Obamacare.

A buddy of mine's wife is an IRS auditor. Whenever she would get her feet on the ground to investigate tax cheats or assess property for a tax auction, she would take a few heavily armed agents who were usually ex military that were armed to the teeth because heavily armed tax cheats or moonshiners generally don't like having their stuff auctioned off or investigated and believe it or not, might actually shoot at a Revenue Agent.

Yes, Revenue Agents have always had big guns. Its not an "Obama Thing".

Also for a lot of small time folks the IRS uses the US Marshals to take people into custody.

    Law Enforcement and Investigation
Criminal Investigation (CI) is the law enforcement branch of the IRS. Our mission is to serve the American public by investigating potential criminal violations of the Internal Revenue Code, and related financial crimes, in a manner that fosters confidence in the tax system and compliance with the law.

As an IRS CI Special Agent, you will combine your accounting skills with law enforcement skills to investigate financial crimes. Special Agents are duly sworn law enforcement officers who are trained to "follow the money." No matter what the source, all income earned, both legal and illegal, has the potential of becoming involved in crimes which fall within the investigative jurisdiction of the IRS Criminal Investigation

Why wouldn't any law enforcement agent train with weapons at their disposal? While most law enforcement officers never fire their weapons, I sure want them to be trained to be able to do so.

If they are required to carry a gun, they should be trained to carry any gun that they might be asked to use.

No we are talking about cops with badges who work for the IRS who chase down criminal scum- and hopefully have a warrent before they risk their lives kicking down a door to take down some scum bag who is breaking and bragging he will kill any revenoor that tries to arrest him.

One should really re-read the Constitution.

I think our cops should be at least as well armed as the bad guys out there. And I think that they should be trained in how to use any gun that is issued to them.

Wouldn't the IRS bring their info to a court to get a warrant and then allow the police to follow the warrant? I don't know the IRS has heavily armed forces.

What? People don't like the government laying the first claim to the person's property and income and allowing the to keep a certain amount and if the government isn't paid, ther person's property is auctioned off? Imagine that!

    And the Constitution! Great post!
