He was fired when he restarted the investigation of Burisma.

So, you're telling me that Biden wanted Hunter investigated? Post your evidence. This should be good.

Not so. Shokin was corrupt because he failed to investigate and prosecute a single case of corruption. Instead, he shelved and sabotaged cases, in Ukraine and abroad. Burisma was not under investigation - cases were against Burisma's owner, Zlochesky - but Shokin sabotaged these cases including a case in the UK as a result of which Zlochevsky regained $23 million of frozen assets, which in turn resulted in frozen Ukrainian assets being released as well. He has also worked to sabotage the US case against Firtash. There are numerous other examples - as I said, he pursued ZERO cases of corruption.

Further, he failed to investigate, let alone prosecute, murderers of about 100 protesters during the 2014 Maidan revolution - another reason why he was reviled by ordinary Ukrainians.

In short, he was famously corrupt. And that's why the IMF, EU, EBRD as well as the US wanted him gone, or no more aid.

If you don't know this, you need to learn more about Shokin.

Onus is entirely on YOU to provide credible evidence for YOUR bogus allegation.

It's not going to come up in the impeachment trial, but the facts are that Obama made a mess in Ukraine, had the CIA topple pro-Russia Viktor Yanukovych, installed equally-corrupt (but pro-west) Porochenko, and left a vacuum for corruption just like his administration did in several other countries. Trump tries to unravel the mess by honestly trying to get to the bottom of the corruption which took place during the previous administration and who gets the blame for everything? Democrats will do anything to not have their failed foreign policies exposed.

It's pretty telling when a Socialist filmmaker, Oliver Stone, is siding with the President on this one.

First, note that I am taking it at face value that these payments were in fact from Burisma.

And, if indeed they were, are you seriously suggesting that if someone has taken a single payment of $1,000 or so, way back in 2014, from a US firm lobbying for a Ukrainian firm that they are "corrupt" and "on the take" AND that they will feel threatened and enraged - an entire six years later - by the suggestion that the Ukraine interfered in the US election? Why? That's utterly absurd.

With this in mind, I'm not at all surprised that you subscribe to the utterly debunked and discredited Russian-backed narrative that Ukraine interfered in the election.

You have bought into the false left-wing narrative that says Republicans believe that Ukraine and not Russia interfered with the 2016 election. The real story conservatives believe is that both Russia and Ukraine interfered with the 2016 election. It's another deceptive slight-of-hand trick by the Democrats and their media.

I raised TWO relevant facts that you just hand waived away because they DEBUNKED your failed "alternative" attempt.

Why should I expect any other response from someone determined to defend their INDEFENSIBLE criminal IMPOTUS?

Interesting, because when I go back and read OUR brief conversation, I do not see these two facts. Please cut and paste where you brought up "TWO relevant facts", and I will be more than happy to discuss those two relevant facts and how they fit in with my alternative explanation. If you hold up your end of the bargain, I will certainly hold up mine. My guess is however, that you will not, because it is my contention that you have NOT raised two relevant facts in our conversation that I have ignored. Hell even when you realize that you have not, just admit your error, and THEN bring up the two relevant facts, I will be happy to discuss.

Where did I say that conservatives believe that only Ukraine interfered? I didn't.

At least you get points for being CONSISTENTLY WRONG!

    1. Illegally WITHHOLDING FUNDS without any valid reason or notifying Congress!

    2. Involving his PERSONAL LAWYER in his criminal endeavor to smear Joe Biden!

Sad that you failed to see something that OBVIOUS not once but TWICE!

Don't think there's much doubt where they came from. Like asking where the CO2 in the atmosphere came from. CO2 like cash are fungible.

One thing about accomplished liars is that there is always some truth in the stories they weave. For instance, some Ukraine prosecutor or prosecutors enabled Zlochevsky to have his $23M released. However, based on John Solomon's validated timeline:

    Feb. 4, 2016
Ukraine general prosecutor’s office under the direction of Viktor Shokin announces the seizure of assets from Burisma Holdings founder Mykola Zlochevsky under a continuing criminal investigation. The seizure occurred on Feb. 2, 2016, according to the announcement.

    Validation: https://en.interfax.com.ua/news/general/322395.html

    March 22, 2016

VP Joe Biden engages in phone call from Washington DC with Ukrainian president Poroshenko about U.S. loan guarantees. It is believed in this call that Biden renews his demands that the president fire Prosecutor General Shokin, who is overseeing the Burisma prosecution, or risk losing the next $1 billion in U.S. loan guarantees.

    Validation: https://ua.usembassy.gov/readout-vi...ll-president-petro-poroshenko-ukraine-032216/

There is ample evidence, to include a January 19, 2016 meeting between Obama and Ukraine prosecutors set up by the future Ukraine whistleblower, that Ukraine was involved in a DNC scam to dig up dirt on the Trump campaign which led to a case against Manafort, abandoned in 2014, to be reopened with an illegally obtained FISA warrant.

LOL.....Lets make one thing perfectly clear. These supposed two facts that you claimed I have been ignoring were NOT a part of OUR brief conversation. The fact that you are glossing over that reality and simply PRETENDING like you had mentioned it prior ( as you bogusly claimed), was an all too predictable response. But I will happily address your NEW "facts".

    1. Whether this was fair play or not depends ENTIRELY upon whether the original intent was to prop up his 2020 campaign, or whether it was to investigate past corruption within Ukraine, that also happened to include members of the past administration. If it was for 2020, then it would ABSOLUTELY be inappropriate to be delaying aid to assist in an upcoming campaign. If it was for the latter, there is absolutely NOT ONE THING WRONG with creating pressure for a country that we are giving hundreds of millions of dollars to, to make sure that they cooperate with our investigation into past corruption, and to make sure that the corruption with Ukraine that nobody denies exists, is being rooted out

You may have suspicion that he did it for 2020, but you lack absolute proof of such. The notion that he was doing it for the purposes of investigating past corruption is also entirely plausible. Without actual proof, all that you have is a suspicion. The last time that I checked, suspicion is not a viable reason for removing a duly elected President from office.

2.Presidents involve their personal lawyers all the time. There is nothing amiss in that reality. Lanny Davis filled that role in the Clinton administration, and he was both a political operative, AND his personal lawyer. Lets stop pretending like such a role is unique.

There you go. I HAPPILY addressed your two new "facts". It was like taking candy from a baby. It is easy when reality is on your side. What else ya got?

Hopefully you havent yet shot your entire wad. This is fun.

    I am referring to this:
    https://soprweb.senate.gov/index.cf...A-04E1-41B1-A533-BF7C438C3FA7&filingTypeID=87
Where does it show that these payments came from Burisma?

And even if this is the case, your assertion that $1000 or so in 2014 would have any impact is utterly absurd.
John Solomon has a habit of ignoring inconvenient facts - here, the fact that it was SHOKIN who enabled the release of Zlochevsky’s $23 million.

Also, that Zlochevsky’s Ukrainian assets had already been seized once before, and released again in Dec 25 2015 - again, on SHOKIN’s watch. And though seized again on Feb 2 2016, they were later released because criminal cases against him were never pursued.
Here, Solomon’s just plain lax, and about four months late in his timeline.

Firstly, Shokin was not overseeing a criminal investigation against Burisma - cases were against the owner, not the company. Furthermore, he ignored them - as he had for the entirety of 2015 - and resigned just a few weeks after the asset seizure, in Feb 2016.

Secondly, Biden was in the Ukraine when he gave his ultimatum, which dates it to early Dec 2015 at which time he also gave a blistering anti-corruption speech to the RADA (Ukrainian parliament).
Pure John Solomon bunkum - embellishing innocuous facts with a wild imagination is not “ample evidence” of anything.

WTF are you babbling on about in the above content? I QUOTED those facts directly FROM "our brief conversation" where I was DEBUNKING your absurd "alternative" drivel.
That is just waffling gibberish that does NOT address the FACTS! It has NOTHING WHATSOEVER to do with "fair play" and EVERYTHING to do with the MOTIVATION for withholding the funds!
WRONG again! We have DOCUMENTATION that your criminal IMPOTUS not only DEMANDED that the funds be withheld IMMEDIATELY following the call but also that he ORDERED that the requirement to NOTIFY Congress must be VIOLATED!

    https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/trump-admin-forced-turn-ukraine-aid-documents/story?id=67869710

Another UTTERLY BOGUS allegation without any shred of credible substantiation! Whataboutism DOES NOT even come close to addressing the question as to why RG was COVERTLY MEDDLING in foreign affairs.
Looks like you struck out on BOTH issues because you have ZILCH and give the general facile level of the content of your posts you won't do any better because it requires FACTUAL SUBSTANCE to support your drivel.

In summary you appear to be throwing crap at the wall out of sheer DESPERATION hoping that something might stick!

You have NOTHING and that is the end of it!

    Have a nice day!

    Oh how delightfully clever!

Silly me, If I felt like someone was legitimately denying their own words, I would cut and paste their words to prove them wrong, especially in a conversation as short as this one. Not you!

One thing is for sure, you dance to the beat of your own drummer. No one can deny that! What is the name of his tune?...the TDS Shuffle?
