John Eastman, architect of Trump’s 2020 election plot, should be disbarred, judge rules

A California judge on Wednesday recommended the disbarment of John Eastman, calling to revoke the law license of one of former President Donald Trump’s top allies in his failed last-ditch gambit to subvert the 2020 election.

Judge Yvette Roland, who presided over months of testimony and argument about the basis of Eastman’s fringe legal theories, ruled that the veteran conservative attorney violated ethics rules — and even potentially criminal law — when he advanced Trump’s efforts to overturn the election results based on weak or discredited claims of fraud.

Eastman plans to appeal Roland’s decision to a panel of judges, an interim step before the matter reaches the state Supreme Court. But while his appeal is pending, the ruling forces his law license into “inactive” status, meaning he can no longer practice law in California.

I have lost track of how many people who chose to be associated with Trump have suffered the consequences. Cuz it's a very long list, many of whom are lawyers. Or in Eastman's case, were lawyers.

Did they think if they kissed the ring they could flaunt the law as Trump has? That they would suffer no consequences for their actions like him?

Do you think Don, before he goes to sleep at night, ever feels badly about all the trouble his enablers have gotten in to for being loyal to a charlatan? Does he despair over the ruined lives of his jailed, 1/6, violent mob? He (and his son) got a satisfying chuckle from Paul Pelosi being hit in the head with a hammer. But has he considered sending one of his $60 bibles to the assailant? How about a pair of gold sneakers on the house? Or, like all sociopaths, is he incapable of having basic human feelings for their plight?

I hear things didn't work out so well for the Apostles either, maybe they shouldn't have helped J.C.

Scariest post of the month. We know Trump's followers consider him a deity, but it's even scarier when they openly ADMIT it.

I've grown accustomed to your bizarre, off topic deflections...........because you can't handle the subject matter..........but that was particularly fatuous.

Truth hurts, hence your quibble. Did you have a response to the fact that democrats are collectivists? no?

    So here's the thing.
A California judge on Wednesday recommended the disbarment of John Eastman, calling to revoke the law license of one of former President Donald Trump’s top allies in his failed last-ditch gambit to subvert the 2020 election.

Ok, so, a democrat used their political theory to attack another Trump attorney for doing the same things that others in support of folks like Al Gore, Hillary Clinton, Stacey Abrams, et al have done. And one has to wonder why a California Judge has any jurisdiction in a federal case as a state official. And as we've seen so many other times, the SCOTUS then has to be invoked to unwind the legal BS the law fare of the democratic party pushes. It's stupid. It's criminal, and frankly, it's getting tiring.

The astounding thing here is the silliness of the party faithful posting on these forums to continue to push this BS on the forum. And then get mad that someone points out the sheepish nature of these threads. Its boring. Its tiring.

So why not just push the conversation back to the actual problem? Why not address the collectivism of the left, and their inflexibility which leads to all of these criminal law fare cases in the first place?

And that doesn't include the misery he has inflicted on others dusing his life and will do again if he is elected. If ther US wants a dictator they've chosen the right man. The Russian people got rid ot the Tsar - probably tightly so - but ended up with Stalin. The Germans had Hitler, the Italians Mussolini. Dictators are simply power mad pychopaths.

When one considers that Trump was the son of a mostly non-descript real estate developer, who parlayed that business to new heights while becoming a household name since the 80s, then turned that into a hit television show that ran for many years, then brashly proclaimed he was going to run for President, and to almost everyone's astonishment, he WON! He went from being a political neophyte to leader of the free world in a little over a year. He lost a close election for his second term, and is now the apparent nominee 4 years later.

Whether you love him or hate him, that is one of the greatest, most unlikely stories ever told.

For you to act like everything he touches dies, is just, 100% bereft of any form of reality. I don't care if you write an entire page in response as you like to do, nothing in it will change just how truly remarkable his accomplishments have been.

It is not so much that we love Trump as it is that we hate what the Democrats and neocons have done to this country.

When one leaves a trail of broken lives in their wake on the way to achieving their accomplishments, those people paying attention to that wake tend not to applaud the accomplishments.

Nicole Wallace, Bush's former communications director and current MSNBC host, refers to the belief system you've adopted as Earth II. A safe space for Trump supporters to go when their difficulty with accepting the criminality of Trump and his associates gets to be too much to handle. In that space, Gore's pursuit of seeing that all legitimate votes cast for him were counted (an effort blocked by the SC) is equivalent to Trump's plot to have fake electors supplant elected ones to facilitate a takeover of the presidency by Don, who was not elected.

Actually I would call that one of the most biased stories ever told. Only a devout MAGA would ignore the part in which so many peoples' lives have been destroyed in that process. The TRUE story that history will tell might include some of that. But also the story of all the women who were sexually abused., people he defrauded, companies he drove into the ground, lives that were lost in his name, families destroyed...

MAGAs who would try to hide the part of the story that displeases them, like you do, will fade away. Just like those who have supported criminal politicians in the past did. And the facts will be the only thing that will remain. The good ones AND the bad ones. The thing is, the sum of all will be enough to make him one of the most revolting figures in our History for centuries to come. And his supporters some of the strangest creatures on Earth.

And of course you ignore the lives of the people whose lives are much better because of his companies. No proven fraud what ever engeron says there is no provable fraud.

Why not simply address the issue. Democratic operatives, acting as state court judges, and engaging in law fare to attack the Republican candidate for president. When you cannot defend your own tactics, and instead have to deflect by citing a no name who works for MSNBC, you know you've lost your credibility and your crowd.

I think, with this statement, you are demonstrating the difference between people when they regard a character like Trump. For some, they look at the accomplishments alone and make judgments. Others will look at the whole. They will consider the cost of those accomplishments to others who were destroyed. And that leads to a different judgment.

None of the accomplishments I pointed to was subjective even slightly. They are all objectively and incontrovertibly true and verifiable.
    Bias is not involved.

I know that is the perception of those who reside on Earth II.

How about answering these questions. Do you see how advantageous it is for Trump that you believe the justice system is corrupted? That the rule of law is just partisan hackery? Do you see how he uses that narrative to de-legitimize efforts to hold him accountable for his crimes? IOW, do you see how you are being used?

I guess if one's goal is to downplay a TRULY INCREDIBLE list of undeniable accomplishments, your response is as good of an attempt as any.

The fact remains, his is one of the greatest American stories ever told. It certainly reveals a marketing genius the likes of which has never been seen.

Thank you for proving my point. You will simply look at the accomplishments and I will look at HOW he got where he is in business. It's much easier to make and maintain wealth when you hire people to do necessary work and then refuse to pay them.
