Why have we lost our patriotism?

I have a crush on Tulsi so I like to hear her speak. I like some of her ideas but I do not believe she would be a good president. If she did win it would be fun watching the war mongering neo cons squirm.

Isolationism almost cost us victory in WWII....if Japan had not attacked pearl harbor forcing us to go to war....the whole thing might have turned out very differently.....we came in ...in just the nick of time.

What happens in the middle east cannot be ignored...only at our peril to do so. No one likes or wants war....yet we must be prepared...we cannot just cut and run and thus turn the middle east over to our enemies...that would be the height of stupdity.

Yet...despite all the lives lost and all the money we have spent there....we are still living with the threat of Islamic terrorism hanging over our heads.....many threats have been made regarding this very day....we will be fortunate if none of what they speak of comes about.

I was hoping you would go into our nation's fall into political tribalism. The same bunch who like to pretend they're holier than thou (even while supporting the philanderer and sexual predator in the White House unwaveringly) are now pretending they're more patriotic than thou, as evidenced here, and it's just another way to vilify half+ of the country and worsen the problem of political tribalism and outright unpatriotic hatred for your fellow countrymen. I've lost my patriotism because they lost theirs. I want no part of a country where 50% of the population thinks Havana is better than Boston or Dallas.

I think we are at a point in history....where what we do in the next few years will determine whether or not we survive as a nation......we are the crossroads of destruction or survival. We have to make some very crucial decisions...and what we will decide to do is very much up in the air.....we cannot afford another presidency like the one we had with obama and which set the stage for our downfall....Trump has managed to forestall that but for how long?
