How much of a choice is this? Which one would you prefer? Do 'macho socialism' and 'corporate feminism' seem almost like oxymorons?
Progressive Democrats were waiting for Warren to declare in '16. She didn't. Reminds me of when Peace Seekers expected RFK to declare in '68 and he didn't. Until McCarthy showed LBJ vulnerable. And Warren didn't even support her political similar, Bernie. She sold out to the machine. No Warren. I think I still like Bernie. Moi
Its way too early for me to even look at these people. Most will be gone after New Hampshire. I won't even bother with any of the debates until after Super Tuesday has eliminated all but three.
True. The first CUT will be how many are still viable after South Carolina to even be worth voting for on Super Tuesday. And, if it isn't decided by March 17, the April 7 Wisconsin Primary will be one for the ages.
Warren caved on Medicare for All. FDR she is not. She voted to give $700 billion to the military industrial complex. $100 million more than the administration asked for. She's a hardcore Russiagater, increasing the threat to our freedom of speech and our existence. She supports imperialism in Venezuela and she opposes BDS. She voted in favor of recognizing Jerusalem as Israel's capital. Bernie caves to imperialist pressures. He rolled over for the DNC and claimed that Hillary is a good progressive. He is a Russiagater. He opposes BDS and voted in favor of recognizing Jerusalem as Israel's capital. He dismissed Hugo Chavez as a "dead communist dictator" and effectively legitimized Trump's regime change efforts in Venezuela. Bernie voted to end US participation in the Saudi led war in Yemen but it means very little. Trump would just veto it. As President, both candidates will be the permanent State's dancing monkey. The CIA, the Pentagon, and the media, will be up their asses 24/7. They'll fold. They already do now.
Speaking of a "dancing monkey": Oh, and back on topic, Bernie has some "Progressive" competition this time
We should all be outraged when the entire Democratic party nomination process is largely decided by two states of voters Iowa and New Hampshire with voters in 48 states having little left to choose from because nobody can finance a campaign without a media driven and media defined 'win' before the Valentine cards replace the Happy New Years in the Hallmark isle. . Last time we were left with a man who was not even a member of our party and a woman who's baggage could not fit in La Guardia. The Republicans at least had a contest with real choices. How they squandered all that choice, does not in any way justify our system denying us any. There has to be a way where the candidates are not squeezed out so early.
I won't have to hold my nose to vote for Bernie but he lacks the stones to really overturn the system. No candidate is advocating for public financing of campaigns or outlawing the revolving door.
Actually they can finance it now thanks to Citizens United. They just have to figure out how to get a super pac on their side. That was the great thing about that ruling is that it levels the playing field so basically a nobody could technically get the financing they need to run a presidential campaign.
Well that depends on where you live. Living in Mass. I can drive an hour and help my candidate in the race in New Hampshire. There is nothing in that ruling that the average American would benefit. That, the repeal of Class Seagal, and the patriot act three horrible events for rights of the average man.
For the first time California will be part of "Super Tuesday" in March of 2020. Which ever Democrat candidate has the most ballot harvesters out in the neighborhoods will sweep Super Tuesday.
People support Sanders more because Sanders is a lot more likable and doesn't have that native American issue. He does seem more pure of heart and less agenda driven. How is Bernie "macho" and how is Warren "corporate?" Those words doesn't don't come to mind for me.
California also voted early in 2008, joined by 21 other states. It was a tie for the Democrats. The Republicans split 3 ways but because McCain got the states the media cared about and took a delegate lead second-place Romney saw no way to catch up and dropped out. Third place Huckabee couldn't get to 50% after that but forced McCain to clinch, ignored by everyone. So far 190 states are scheduled that day, including the home states of 5 prospects. If they all win at home it may be impossible for anyone to get to an earned 50%. With 10 more states joining those who can spread themselves widest may pull ahead with as few as 6 wins each that night.
I wonder if the DNC will actually let you guys freely pick your candidate or will they again this election work to get "their" choice as the nominee and work against the rest.
