Will Universities in the US start losing foreign Tuition?

Nothing indicates the 92% of Americans who apply to M.I.T. being declined did not meet the qualifications for attendance since M.I.T. is not secretive about their thresholds.

For some Universities, this may be appropriate, but others want the top-notch students, whether they be Domestic or International. This has been working for many years. The positions that these folks get later in life, reflect on that University. That's why they go for the top achievers.

As far as I know, Bomb Making 101 is still not being offered at any US University. Are you college-educated? Did you major in any of these curriculas? I majored in Electrical Engineering. I can tell you this - most people learn very little of practical value in college - it's mostly theoretical. What a student really learns is how to reason and think. Do you want to block foreign students from reasoning and thinking?

 

The left seems to have a real hard understanding the word "illegal". Stopping anyone and everyone from coming and going to America unchecked/unregulated isn't going to effect the people coming and going LEGALLY.

It certainly does effect those coming and going legally. Perhaps you haven't read that tourism is down 3% since Trump took office, and is expected to drop another 4%. This will have a drastic effect on our economy, and jobs. I think we're starting to see to see that hate messages and hate tweets don't work. This is a first in America. We've never had a president who delivered a message of hate before.

 

If hate = not wanting anyone/everyone to come and go unchecked/unregulated then ya, you're right. I think the left is more mad the Republicans are taking their slaves away again. Without a flow of illegal aliens, who will we exploit to do jobs for penny's?

I presented facts about drops in tourism, but this was dismissed.

 

So you're saying that letting people come in unchecked and unregulated helps our tourist industry

 

I'm saying that tourism helps our economy, and is a huge industry in the US. Tourists are legal entrants to this country. They have passports, and they are limited in the time that they can stay. The fact that this has dropped 3%, and expected to drop another 4%, will have it's effect on our economy, and will lead to job reductions. This is somewhat unrelated to the subject of this thread, but it is a similar consequence, to the same unpresidential actions of our commander-in-chief.

I doubt it will be all that drastic. The US is not Iceland. The US tourist industry is dominated by domestic tourists.

In any case, terrorist incidents don't help tourism, either.
