    Accepting the ruling (depends on what it is) and liking it might be two different things.
    Whatever it rules , will be rather definitive , and historical, given the situation now.

    I will abide by whatever decision they make. That's the Patriotic thing to do.

    Unless of course if they base their decision on a Mickey Mouse cartoon or Pepper Pig. That would be hard to swallow.

    Yep. I have my opinion, and Trump has an advantage in the courts, but I'll go with what the SC rules. I do suspect, however, that they will try to avoid making a ruling given the chance.

    They aren't Oracles. Their ruling only binds our conscience if they follow the Law and the Constitution.

    When was the last time an elected official of the USA gov't engaged in an act that turned into a riot at the USA capitol to attempt the halt of a USA presidential election?

    No guilt is needed. It's not a criminal action. It's a ballot eligibility action.

    A guilty verdict, had it already happened would make the eligibility requirements almost a certainly.

    This isn't the left. So far, only 2 states have decided to let the courts decide on eligibility. Several other states have ruled he's eligible. Even CA.

    No need to paint with such a broad brush. There are 50 individual State elections.

    To be or not to be, interpreted by the courts.
    The constitution and ammendments are guidelines. The courts determine gray areas.

    We must honor and accept the judgement of the Supreme Court. Sometimes its decisions stink to high-heaven (the legality of "Obamacare" comes immediately to mind), and sometimes the SCOTUS saves the Constitution and all citizens (as with its consistent support for the 2nd Amendment). But, love some of the decisions, or hate them, the SCOTUS has the final and ultimate power when it comes to jurisprudential matters in this country.

    He very well may have agreed with the decision however…complying doesn’t equal agreeing. We all comply with laws/court decisions we don’t agree with.

    On this forum, there were a lot of calls to stack the court after Roe was overturned. So the people who wanted that clearly didn't accept the ruling.

    The don't have to decide it. It's in the constitution in plain language.

    "Fourteenth Amendment, Section 5:

    The Congress shall have the power to enforce, by appropriate legislation, the provisions of this article."

    Please stop with the ludicrous arguments and actually read the constitution.

    "No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws."


    His privilege of running for president cannot be abridged without due process.
