No, it will ALSO should be on each and every State Government too, because there is nothing whatsoever in the Constitution of the United States that forbids State Enterprise (like utilities) making masks...

If you disagree quote the Constitution; what States are forbidden to do is clearly spelled out, and nothing whatsoever says States can't make hospitals, electricity, or masks...

As for patents, on the fabric of the masks...that States should be able to manufacture too, unless emergency laws already exist for Trump to dismiss Patents and ramp up production of masks in other facilities other than 3M...:

"The Congress shall have power ... To promote the progress of science and useful arts, by securing for limited times to authors and inventors the exclusive right to their respective writings and discoveries;"

So maybe there is a lawyer out there that knows what patents can be dismissed in Trump's emergency powers, I have no idea, I can't find it with a search, so have at it.

Did you just give us an excuse to "Blame Canada?"

It's freaking funny searching for masks; hope you don't have to work on your house anytime soon and need a dust mask. I saw a guy yesterday with one of those scary printed thin cloth masks some motorcycle riders wear, 100% useless for catching it but maybe a little bit useful to keep the allergy sneeze from infecting 10 people in a store.

Take your concerns up with Mike Lindell.
"In Minnesota, the MyPillow company is refocusing 75 percent of its production to face masks for health care workers.

"We have capacity to make a lot of things at big rates and we’re going to be going hopefully from 10,000 units a day to 50,000 units a day in a very short period of time," CEO Mike Lindell told FOX 9 of Minneapolis-St. Paul.

Coronavirus relief: Fashion brands pledge to produce face masks for medical supply

The masks will go to hospitals in Minnesota and other states, he said.

MyPillow worked with the Trump administration to get the proper design, Lindell told FOX 9."

Interesting side piece to the story - FEMA has just paid $55M to a company for the manufacture of masks. The company has never made them before, has not had any employees since May 2018 and filed for bankruptcy last fall.

Yes, there are patents on designs and the federal approval of devices. Trump will no doubt blame someone or something else for not making PPE we need.

    Sounds like graft and politics.

My guess is that we need billions of respirators to beat back future waves that pop up in different parts of the country. If we have PPE and quickly react with restrictions on businesses that could contribute to the spread (and fully compensate those impacted), I think we can minimize the impact on business. Without PPE, a significant portion of the public will pull back into a shell even if we keep businesses open.

This is a "Trump Special" product for sure! Trump designed it, everything Trump makes works, especially from Trump University graduates!

Lindell, who has been a carnival barker for years selling neverending garbage, won't commit to a single statement. He is "targeting health care workers", not hospitals themselves because facilities standards won't pay for a mask that can't be used in a hospital.

But there are LOTS of religious suckers who will pay marked up almost worthless cotton masks for themselves and their families to buy My Pillow and Trump Maskes!

"My Pillow has capacity to a lot of things at BIG RATES..." Lindell even wrote his blurbs to appeal to Trumpettes with Trump's carnival barker style!

Meanwhile, all over America, pussyhat wearing democrats tree huggers have dropped up their knitting needles and taken to sewing masks out of their cuck riddled husband's old tee shirts and that's OK?
Love the all caps bold, it really makes you look smarter.
