Wisconsin mom killed in road rage incident while teaching son to drive, police say

A Wisconsin mom died in a suspected road rage incident over the weekend while teaching her teenage son how to drive, authorities said.

Tracey Smith, 46, was giving her 17-year-old son a driving lesson on Friday evening when the pair got into what investigators described as "a minor accident," according to the Milwaukee Police Department.

Things took a tragic turn when Smith, a sergeant with the Wisconsin Department of Corrections, got out to confront the driver who ran into them. The two exchanged words and Smith was shot during the encounter, according to police.

Aren't guns great? Every angry retard who cares to own one can very easily use deadly force on a whim and end an innocent life in a flash.

Probably just a handgun, which you'll never get out of the hands of morons, due to other morons protecting the right of this moron to have it and carry it with him while he drives around.

    Very sad

This one hits home, since my 17 year old just got his final license last week.

What is the penalty for this shooter? Is this murder? It's not premeditated, but it was certainly avoidable and I hope this shooter isn't going to be allowed to claim some sort of bogus self defense.

In my state we have different levels of homicide. Capital Murder, 1st Degree, 2nd Degree, Vol Manslaughter, and Invol....oh and Felony Murder.

This looks like 2nd Degree (which is murder without the premeditation) or Vol Manslaughter. Of course this is without knowing all the facts of the case, other then what is written above

Isn't murder against the law? How's that working out?

The problem wasn't the gun, the problem is that people are becoming too angry, violent, and intolerant.

Maybe it stems partly from the "every child gets a trophy" attitude. People are forgetting how to "lose" with class and dignity any more.

People used to be able to agree to disagree, and people used to be much more willing to meet in the middle. Nowadays it seems more like "my way or the highway" and anyone who disagrees is an idiot.

I look at some of the anger and hatred even on this forum ---- over politics for God's sake!

I worry for humanity. Not because of guns, but because we have people who are so angry and hateful that they think killing someone is ok in the first place.

If the 17 year old and the infant in the back seat would have been armed with grenade launchers this would have never happened.

Call it what it was, another BLACK on Black Shooting (usually with an illegal firearm) that takes place Every day in black neighborhoods of cities run by unqualified liberal mayors.

They say Matthew Wilks, 35, shot Tracey Smith in front of her 17-year-old son Friday night at 51st Street and Capitol Drive.
Police said Smith, a sergeant with the State Department of Corrections, was teaching her son to drive when Wilks hit them.

Yes, guns are great in the hands of law abiding citizens.

Please provide evidence that the perp was not a prohibited person and bought the gun through legitimate means opposed to getting it on the black market.

"The suspect has a record for drugs, felon in possession of a firearm, driving a stolen car and eluding police, and at the time of the shooting he didn't have a driver's license".

    https://www.wisn.com/article/flags-...lity-to-honor-sergeant-killed-friday/28905258

So, we have a felon illegally in possession of a firearm. A felon with a substantial history of illegal activity. A felon with no driver's licence. A felon that has shown that he has no respect for laws.

Sure, taking away guns from law abiding citizens would have certainly prevented this murder. /s

The victim contributed to her death by acting like she was bossing around one of her prisoners. Some times you just have to use kind words when things go wrong instead of flying off the handle. You can always ambush the person later on at your convenience.

Wisconsin voted for the Dem in every POTUS Election since 1984, they flip from Blue to Red in 2016 (by voting Trump), and then this happens.

If Hillary had been elected, this senseless shooting would not have happened.

    ^Prove me wrong.

Sadly, the WI DOC seems to be scraping the bottom of the barrel.

Guys like that explain how Trump was able to get 6% of the Black vote in WI.

    Thoughts and prayers.:flagus:

If Hillary had been elected, the 17 year old and 20 bystanders would have been killed as well.

But that would be taking away people’s religious freedom to kill the infidels, we can’t do that.
Best to just equip all infants with grenade launchers

What law would have stopped a felon from doing this? ( Hint he did it anyways)
