Without Mask Mandates, Liberals Incapable of Wearing Masks On Their Own

Numerous people are arguing that without mask mandates, COVID will continue to run rampant through society. While the latter may be true, it will happen whether or not we wear masks.

Delta was last week. Lambda is this week, coming predominantly from South America (I have a hunch how Lambda is spreading along the border states, lol).

Unfortunately, we're all going to die from COVID, because without mask mandates, people are simply not able to wear masks.

I can almost hear the on-the-ground reports from MSNBC now (some based on actual comments on this board)....

"I was wearing masks up until evil Republicans eliminated the mask mandates. Now, I'm not even sure how to put on a mask. It used to be so simple. I don't know if the straps go over the ears or under. This needs to be addressed with significant increases in government spending and a living wage."

"Well, I got COVID early on and then I started wearing masks. Now I'm afraid without mandating masks that work to prevent COVID, I might get COVID again. Hell, I even got vaccinated and now they're not forcing others to wear masks. They're trying to kill me."

"I wore my Brittany Spears mask for the longest time! I love Brittany Spears! She touched me one time at a concert! I never washed the mask afterwards. Now that evil Republicans say I don't have to wear a mask, I just feel lost. Like a part of me is missing. I can't believe they'd take that away from me. I loved that mask!"

"I used to wear three masks at a time. Now, without the mask mandates in my city, I can't even put one on correctly. It's like they just mandated that masks don't have to be worn, and now I feel stupid wearing three masks in my car all by myself. Without government funding for safe spaces for mask aficionados like me, I just can't bring myself to wear them now. It was so much cooler when everyone was required to wear them."

 

There is no mask mandate in my state but I see more and more people voluntarily wearing them. Not my thing but to each their own.

 

Maybe the people in your state are able to make their own choices! Kudos for them!

 

Of course they are. Not sure why the state I live in would be any different than any other state regarding people being able to make their own choice but whatever. Choice of wearing a mask should be up to each individual person.

 

You, too, can mask up. In fact, you can wear as many masks as you want without a mandate!! Glad you agree with the silliness of mask mandates.

 

Yup, I could...if I wanted to. I don't want to.

Seems those that DO want to are doing so.

 

So there's no need for mask mandates, like is the big curmfluffle in Florida. Glad you agree.

 

Oh, I don't know if there is no NEED for mask mandates as I'm not a scientist or doctor. I'm just saying I don't want one.
