I have tried to post this twice before it dumped.. Interesting perspective on Zimmerman's attitude.

The Trayvon transcripts: Witness describes Zimmerman's attitude: "‘Just tell my wife I shot somebody.’ Like it was nothing.”

A Florida Department of Law Enforcement agent interviewed one of the first people to witness George Zimmerman after he shot Trayvon Martin. A partial transcript of the interview with the witness. He at home Feb. 26, fixing a coffee table in his front room when he and his wife heard the scuffle.

“We heard voices outside,” he said. “At first it sounded like dogs.”

Moments later, when he told his wife to get away from the window, they heard what he called “either a loud grunt -- it sounded like a gunshot, too.”

He came outside with his cellphone and flashlight, which he shined on Zimmerman. He said it had sounded as if Zimmerman were on the phone.

I think he was on the phone because it sounded like he was on the phone….

“Why don’t you call 911?” the man says he asked Zimmerman.

“No, I just got off the phone with them,” Zimmeran reportedly told him. “Am I bleeding?”

The man looked and saw Zimmerman had blood on his face: “Yeah, you’re bleeding.”

Zimmerman squatted down and, the witness said, he could see “blood on the back of his head, grass stains. And by that time I flashed my light down. And there was this kid face down in the grass. By that time, the police showed up. And one officer went ahead and handcuffed him.”

“Can you please call my wife,” Zimmerman reportedly asked him. “Let her know what happened.”

The witness complied, called Mrs. Zimmerman and said: “Your husband’s been involved in a shooting. And he’s going to be held for questioning. He’s been handcuffed.

    Zimmerman apparently chimed in.

“Just tell her I shot somebody,” the witness said Zimmerman told him.

“Ok, well,” the man said to Mrs. Zimmerman, “he just shot someone.”

More police showed up and paramedics by that time.

“There was nothing they could do for the kid,’ the witness said.

    What was Zimmerman’s demeanor like?

“He was more like having a hard time,” the man said. “It looked like he had just gotten his butt whooped. Not shocked…. But basically getting up from a fight and, like, ‘yeah, I just got in a fight and I had to do this.’

He asked you to call his wife, an agent said. And he made this statement: Just tell her I shot somebody. How would you describe his voice?

Witness: “Just quick get-to-the-point-type talk… Almost like, he just did it. Not like he was in shock. Not like: ‘I can’t believe I just shot somebody.’ It was more like: ‘Just tell my wife I shot somebody.’ Like it was nothing.”
On the night of the shooting, the Sanford Police Department only interviewed the witness for two minutes. His recollection is here:

Zimmerman: "Man, I got blood on my face?"

Witness: "Yeah, you got blood all over, man. I looked over and he’s got blood on the back of his head. You alright man?"

Zimmerman: "Ah, man this guy he was beating up on me so I had to shoot him."

    Witness: "Did you use a 9 or a 40?"

    Zimmerman: "I used a 9."

Witness: "Did you call 911, yet?"

Zimmerman: "No, I already called. Can you just call my wife?"

No, they obviously don't! I've never seen anything like this. I sit down w/my morning coffee, check over this forum and count the new T/Z threads that popped up.... it's insane - and sad.

What are these people going to do after the trial? Life will go on for us like it does now, but they won't be able to.........

Goes to Zimmermans' psychopathy ... what kind of person starts a *menacing eyeball confrontation* with a person ... then chases down that person then shoots 'em to death ?

Natch. It's an opinion held by one unnamed observer we know nothing about....

it's possible the witness is black and developed his opinion of the "white" shooters demeanor upon learning the victim was black...

it's possible the witness is not adept...and higly unlikely he's an authority.... at interpreting entirely subjective emotional responses / body language....

People react to life-altering events differently. Since I do have to go to arraignments I can tell you that a great many criminals are in a state of shock and how that plays out in many cases is looking casual. I have to try and snap them back into reality. There are studies on trauma forcing people to dissociate with their current "self".

This isn't a Ted Bundy or a Dahmer. I highly doubt you're going to find a trophy room in his basement.

Speaking about psychopathy - everything you post reeks of your hatred and racism. how can you state this is exactly what happened when you weren't there that night? Well, I guess you were in your world of fantasy, but that doesn't count.......

And Margot, did it ever occur to you that Z was in shock when he made the comment about calling his wife? For someone who claimed she worked in the medical field for 20 yrs and was also a paralegal, why don't you recognize this?

People joined a political forum to discuss the M/Z case? Okkkkkk. And since this is a political forum, you're surprised that there's numerous threads about Obama, politics and campaigns?

There was a case about a 2 yr old toddler who disappeared into thin air and instead of calling the cops, the mother decided to go out dancing and partying. I don't recall any threads about Casey Anthony's guilt or innocence while waiting for the trial and during the trial, no more than 2 and after the acquittal of the sociopath, from what I can recall, there was no more than 3 and those were in the off-topic forum........

People here had little interest in the life of a toddler and her unexplained death, but fascinated by a teenager and a neighborhood watch guy...... strange.

I know that I would have been in shock if I had just killed a teenager who was walking home.

I pulled a young woman out of an auto accident in Nashville and threw up for hours.

Why don't you pull up GZ's two page jail house letter.

George lives in a world of fantasy where he is "important"...

I don't spend my life reading about Zimmerman or Martin - if it's important, it'll come up in the trial....

That was very brave of you to save that woman's life. Was the car on fire?

    Margot,

if you are referring to the one on Smoking Gun that is handwritten I don't see where you can say this stuff. It is typical falling back on God because he took a life. He's scared of Hell. Even atheists when they've killed someone for the first time start finding Jesus or Muhammad behind bars.

sounds like he was numb, like it hadnt really set in yet. he did something very serious, it can take a lil bit to realize that it actually happened. been there and done that, emotionless and just trying to grip the situation.

its not like he was smiling or bragging about it, the dude had just shot and killed someone and was trying to grip the reality of it all.

And yes even more proof Z is a murderous sociopath who deserves to be thrown in prison for the rest of his pathetic life.

Yes, that's a good description - I've been there and done that myself - the brain goes into total shock, you're not fully comprehending what happened - everything is surreal around you.......

So, we see the stoned kid on the 711 tape, and he looks NOTHING at all like he did when he was 12, when he was cute. It is so stupid the media keeps using those deceiving pictures as an accurate portrayal- I doubt that 12 year old is even him, probably a cuter look a like nephew or something.

and the fact that people react to things very differently. like once when i was 12 my team won the jr. high basketball championship in our disrict, after the final buzzer sounded i felt nothing and was very numb. didnt show any reaction till like 5 minutes later. i dont know why, but it just didnt seem real until my dad patted my shoulder and said "hell of a game son" and after that i started celebrating.

now thats just an example, its nothing compared to shooting someone and killing them but im talking about the feeling in general. big situations can be hard to grasp for people, takes a moment to set in before you get any feeling out of someone.

Sorry wrong again. T was 100% innocent and was NEVER arrested. He was a victim of Zimmermans psychopathic tendencies that have been WELL DOCUMENTED! Face it he going to to prison for good. And in addition hopefully his piece of (*)(*)(*)(*) father is ridiculed until the day he dies.

Yeah, people actually following the real story know Trayvon was a disgusting foul mouthed disrespectful little thug, who got what he got. In that 711 tape he looks like the thug bums I see walking around. Anyone really look at that tape and notice how long it took Trayvon to pay for the candy and tea? It looked like he was contemplating robbing the place for a second. Then he forgot how he came in the store. Niiiiice.
