    The baby was alive when she went to the hospital with back pain, the infant died of the same infection the morher died of, not the cause.

    When the fetus died they should have removed it then, because she recieved incompetent care from a state run (Obamacare like) medical system that the pregnancy had nothing to do with.

    That can be too late - as it was with this woman

    The back pain indicates there was something very wrong and in all probability it was the placenta. This was a classic case of either abort and save the mother or not abort and lose the mother

    Come too close to the second scenario on more than one occasion. I worked in a catholic hospital - even they would abort occasionally when it came to this situation but Ireland is different because the pro-lifers, knowing nothing about maternal morbidity and mortality and ignoring or denying such exists have lobbied to stop all abortions
