Considering how frequent an occurrence this is, it's definitely worth making note of. Eventually society has to find away to stop subsidizing this.

The problem is that as little as 100 years ago, people this backward wouldn't have even been able to survive long enough to have any kids, meaning Darwinism would take care of the problem on its own.

Nowadays due to underreguated welfare subsidies people like this are actually able to survive long enough to produce 6 kids (probably with 6 baby daddies). So screw "black lives matter" - why do black lives only matter when it's a white person who's responsible? Why don't these lives matter?

this will bring up the debate once again about sterilization... I don't remember how that ended last time this board discussed it since I usually lose interest quickly when it turns into rants instead of discussions... but will either side demand certain people get sterilized, or demand they be given a choice since its their body... I often fall in the middle of that debate... I think anyone who is receiving public assistance should be given a chance to get birth control, but I hate the idea of mandating anything... but how else do we stop people like this who have proven track records of abusing and harming children, from getting pregnant and doing it all over again... is our society ready to deal with these kind of decisions and compel someone to get sterilized so they can no longer harm children, at what point is enough enough, and at what point do we say, well in order to protect all of society we can't compel any of them to undergo that for fear we make a mistake and harm someone innocent after all...

touchy touchy subject... do you offer a program where you pay people who will voluntarily undergo sterilization? rather than a program that compels it? is that moral when we know many poor people who just need money will signup just to get the money, then years down the road regret it? is there any variation of this that would work?

 

Not totally sure on that one - I'm leaning toward wanting to make it a crime to have more children if the parents are unemployed and dependent on welfare - this would apply to both parties and would encourage them to zip up.

 

BLM is a political faction dealing with the scope of police taking lives. Specifically, black lives. A Black Christian organisation is the better group to address for these types of scenarios.

 

well considering how many other things are a crime, and it doesn't seem to stop criminals, I have a feeling this will have the same effect to only serve as a punishment after... what would that punishment be that wouldn't cause more outrage and support for the left after you apply it? it would almost be a feeding frenzy for them... aside from just making it optional to go on birth control, or controversially pay them to go on birth control, I don't see any want to prevent it without giving one side more power in the after effects of a law prohibiting it and forcefully compelling someone to do something they don't want to... that would be a MASSIVE war on women attack ad... heh...

P.S. I often never see anything suggested with the fathers either, just the mothers... we need to advance the "male birth control" pills or methods... clearly free condoms don't work... and clearly free birth control now with the ACA doesn't work either... so I think sadly we're getting to the point we have to pay people to be responsible, but its not really paying them to be responsible, because if they were, they wouldn't need to get paid... so its just paying people to act how we want them to act... and I hate the idea of rewarding irresponsible people...

I feel the same way which is why I read a lot more than I post. I posted in another thread that a viable option may be some form of forcing them to work it(govt money/welfare) off or go to jail and be forced to work it off. That is if we are going to continue to offer these kinds of programs. If it were up to me I would end them all. There has to be consequences for their actions. Right now there are no consequences. It also needs to be equally enforced for the fathers. Right now the fathers basically get off free and clear to go knock up more women.

I know a black guy that no joke has 21 brothers and sisters. Those are both from his mom and his dad both screwing around on each other with different men/women. He said he is not 100% sure who his Dad even is. I am sorry but that is a sad state of affairs that some of these kids find themselves in.

If you request welfare (of any kind, which I'm sure this fine, upstanding citizen is on), the FIRST thing we do is order a pregnancy test, The SECOND thing we do (if negative) is place them on MANDATORY birth control (pick your poison to prevent it, ladies and gentlemen. YES, I said men also). If positive, as soon as the child is born, go back to the beginning of the SECOND thing. THIRDLY (and last)......they stay on this MANDATORY birth control until they no longer are on (any) welfare!
