Depends on one`s definition of intelligence. A propensity for being led into emotive hysteria doesn't necessarily indicate an over abundance of intelligence. By the same token, it doesn`t take much intelligence to recognise the scam factors common to the AGW issue, and to keep an open mind, while others more prone to lemming-esque tendencies, unquestionably follow Al Gore & Clive Palmer wherever they choose to lead. Any moment now, I`m expecting Clive to offer a free set of steak knives for anyone who follows his agenda, carbon steel that is. Judging form the quantity of established gullibility, this would be a sellout.

Getting away from the AGW $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ issue for a moment. What about the global population explosion? This is the prominent environmental threat to this planet, but the subject doesn`t get a mention. The subject doesn`t get a mention because there is no money in it. No financial incentive to stimulate the coming of a Messiah of global population, to preach to the masses, to whip the emotions of the great unwashed into a world saving frenzy.

Not many have looked at the bigger picture of the human population explosion, they just keep running around like headless chickens jumping on any band-wagon that helps them feel safe. New technology is taking away the need for human labour, but the human population is increasing, but no new employment prospects. LOL I don't think many of these idiots have realised it yet, but you cannot sustain a growing population without growing jobs to support them. :roflol: Over human population is the biggest problem our planet faces, not global warming. Don't these clowns get it, that when a country has 10 % unemployment, it means the country is over populated. LOL LOL When a planet has 30% unemployment, then it means the planet is over populated by 30%. LOL LOL

Then we have moron politicians skipping around saying we have to tax you more, to pay for the unemployed people, produced by the over population. :roflol: :roflol:

If this was anymore sad & pathetic, it would be funny.

We obviously need realistic environmental practices, we live here. The biggest threat to the planet is over population. If the current global population growth rate of around 1.14% per annum is maintained, global population will DOUBLE every 50 years, approximately. This can`t be sustained. If we can`t find a way to humanely keep our population at a sustainable level this planet will be trashed.

Its already trashed; its just getting worse. With every advance in new technology, we need less human labour, but the human population keeps increasing. Every day human beings are developing more new machines and ways to replace human labour due to greed, abut the human population keeps growing, needing more & more jobs to support their basic requirements.

This is not a very nice thing to say, but humans are not very intelligent species.
