My home grown is the best! Sparkles like diamond encrusted, plant matter! It Stank!!! Stanky danky!!!

 

I grew 16 plants of Skunk 2 when it first became legal in Colorado. Still have jars of it somewhere around here. I usually give some to a couple of friends after they have done any work for me kind of like a tip for doing a good job. They do real good work. We had it in a big locked closet with two huge banks of grow lights and an exhaust fan to the outside. There were some guys form the power company that were up cutting trees away form the lines and they smelled from about 50 feet away. They got real curious because of the skunk smell. I began telling them about how much I loved guns. I made some butter for brownies. Don't eat a whole brownie. I told a friend that and he ate the whole thing. He was really messed up for about 10 hours. It's some good weed but I don't do weed anymore.

My friends that own the commercial grows grow the best I have found. They have people from all over the world come to see their operation. They do a lot of research. I don't think I could match what they produce. This is the strain they are working on currently:

Hermies are more problematic. They throw "nanners" well into flowering and can pollinate as soon as you see them.

 

This is why it's best to stick to clones if you can get them.

One of ours went hermie. We have about 2k of seeds. We were keeping a real good eye on them for males but one turned while we were on vacation for 4 days. It was still kick butt. Real sticky, hairy and sparkly. Makes me curious to see what it would have been like if we grew more and were able to keep them from sexing. But I'm not curious enough to try since I don't smoke anymore.

I lived in Hawaii in the late 70's and early 80's. I got spoiled. I lived with a local girl that had a brother on the Big Island that grew Puna Bud and Maui Wowie. Came back, tried some Colombian, got a headache and gave it up. I have dabbled a few times but I am older so it isn't the same anymore. My wife says I should try some of that "the White" but I am kinda meh about smoking now. Our friends gave her a sample (1/2) and she likes it a lot. Real mellow and helps with her joint pain.

The study you used was put out by a cannabis advocacy group and in no way can be considered a legitimate source. All legitimate sources I have found say it has especially severe long term effects on those twenty five years old and younger.

Denial will not make it go away.

We know a lot about long term effects of cannabis in the EU and what you say is a half truth at best.

Cannabis has 2 phentotypes Indica and Sativa.

Indica make you "Stoned" a heavy buzz, lethargic, relaxed. These are almost always the best medical cannabis strains.
Strong Indica's have been proven in the EU to exacerbate certain existing mental health issues in a very small percentage of people (It's a lot less than 0.1%). This is where the cannabis makes you schizo come from. It is based in some fact but often misinterpreted data.

Sativa's give you munchies, make you laugh and have been proven to increase creativity (Thinking out the box) these are far more recreational and pose less mental health risks than indica's.

Prohibition pushed that predominately Indica's dominated the market like they do in the UK. This makes the problem far worse.

Now people in the US can access the phenotype that suits them best, normally it's a blend.

MJ should be legal for recreational at the same age as booze, the studies you read are wrong. We already know pot does almost no harm alcohol is far far more dangerous to society.

I don't smoke at the moment but if it was legal in the UK I would. It's availability of Sativa's that stops me. Availability of weed is high I know at least 6 people I could tap right now. It would all be Cheese though, so I don't.

 

What I said is based on numerous legitimate studies, none of which disagree. I notice that you show no links to back up your claim.

I think pot should be as legal as alcohol, but I must disagree.
The indicas tend to relax and make you sleepy while the sativas are more mental, euphoric, and can cause a sense of anxiety in some people.
The distinction is even more pronounced if they are harvested early or late.
In fact, early pot harvested with clear trichs will produce more sensations of anxiety regardless of the strain than later harvested pot with cloudy and amber trichs.
And once you smoke too much of either, you simply get narcotic, not neurotic.
And the reality is that smoking anything has to be bad for the lungs, although tobacco additives are highly carcinogenic while pot tar is more natural.
I think pot edibles are a better way to go, although pot edibles can be fairly easily overdosed and cause extreme bouts of anxiety and discomfort until they wear off.
But none of it is nearly as destructive as alcohol or the pointless ravages of tobacco. At least if you're going to die from smoking, smoke something interesting.

 

This is one advantage smoking pure has over tobacco.

I've smoked cigs for 20 years I pretty given myself over a maximum lifetime exposure dose if I worked in a nuclear plant, that's quite a sobering thought.

Sativa's are know for making you more paranoid but it's the lack of cbd's that seem to increase psychosis is some individuals. This is far more an in issue in europe where weed was grown to be 20% THC at the expense of almost no CBD's. A combination of Dutch coffeeshops and tourists created this crazy 20% strains. I believe the strains you grow in the US are generally more CBD's laden even before the mass medicalisation.
