Anyone playing? It's about an alien invasion of Earth and you're in command of the paramilitary group XCOM which is tasked with defending the Earth.

Most definitely, I'm having a lot of fun with it even though it's really hard. I refuse to play on anything easier than "Classic", I tried my first game on "Impossible" but I couldn't even beat the first mission, and I have to play with "Ironman" activated or else I will cheat and continually reload the game to get each mission perfect and bring all of my guys home. It stayed pretty true to the original but there are some things I do miss in the version; You're stuck with one base, you cannot manufacture stuff to sell as a way to make money, and the big daddy that aliens can't find and attack your base. You'd think that Aliens would notice and go after a military organization that was hell bent on stopping them.

I do have a few quarrels with the basic mechanics such as the goofy camera rotation and zoom systems that can make it annoying to aim explosives and move your guys around but they are probably a hanger-ons from the console versions of the game.

But the best thing about these sorts of games are that you get to name your characters. I've seen the general Sci-fi and action movie stars naming schemes, in my current game I'm using characters from the television show Sealab 2021 and I'm on my third Hesh. What naming scheme do you use?
